No Milosevic, He Says, but Serbia’s ‘Undertaker’ Worries the West
ny times ^ | May 3, 2008 | TOMISLAV NIKOLIC,

TOMISLAV NIKOLIC, the leader of Serbia’s far-right Radical Party, wants to be clear about one thing in particular: he is not the political reincarnation of Slobodan Milosevic, the Serbian strongman who masterminded the Balkan wars of the 1990s that left his country in ruins and at least 125,000 people dead.

Not that he thinks Mr. Milosevic was all that bad. “Milosevic was not a criminal, but he made a lot of mistakes,” said Mr. Nikolic, 56, a charismatic and towering man, with brooding eyes and a quick wit, who once oversaw cemeteries in an industrial town and proudly calls himself the “Undertaker.”

Slobadan’s Ghost haunts the Hague, pointing to the handwriting on the wall. Serbia, has always been the trampled and neglected first line of Western civilization from the Bloodthisty Moongod Hordes. This time though, the Janissaries kettle drums are echoing through the London Banking Houses, off the Hulls Of Super Tankers, In the Burning French Ghetto’s and down the College Hallways of America.

Can I get a chorus of the ignorant and the stupid shouting out "Praise Slobo!"

Apparently I can.

Now, tell me why we are supporting the Kosovars instead of the Serbs. The Serbs have been there for generations before the muslims came through in the 1400's.

I have never sorted out why we are not supporting the resident Christian population against the muslims.

Give me a hand please and sort this out.

The Albanians didn't arrive with the Turks - they'd been there before the Slavs arrived in the 6th century.

Give me a hand please and sort this out.

That's kind of like asking someone to teach you Calculus. You would have much better results if you applied yourself and did some research on your own. Then you can decide whether you're going to follow American interests or Serbian ones.

That is the question whose answer reeks of self interest and profiteering. The only answer is that Mohamedan interests ally with business interests..and nowadays with oil interests. It has happened leading to Christian genocides before and that attitude continues to hold sway among the bureacracy of the state dept.

You are right—the mohamedans came to the Balkans in the 14th century or so...Serbs Christianized 500 years before that. Albanians turned to the evil side after the Turks came in.

And the evil serpent himself Abdullah of Saudi Arabia has promised his country will recognize Kosovo.

Ahem...it's a step above that, Hoplite, i.e. more like asking someone to try and teach you modern Topology.

Only then can one can resort to a binomial random variable of 1's and 0's (American vs. Serbian interests) as you put it.

Amazing how learning takes place.

Well, ask a simple question get "sophisticated" non answers.

I freely admit my ignorance of the whole Balkan issue, holding with Bismarck's opinion generally.

However, having said that, supporting a muslim incursion seeking to take over traditionally Serbian land, and a muslim population heavily into drug running and other criminal activities makes no sense to me.

Added to that, the Russians are solidly (and traditionally) on the side of Serbia.

Are we now to reprise the first World War?

Then you'll understand my lack of enthusiasm in discussing the issue with you any further.

One can tell a horse how to get to water, but expecting anything other than incomprehension is foolish.

Then please enjoy your self imposed solitude on this issue.

I asked only for information and have received only self satisfying condescension.

Guns for the Serbs!
