Dozens of lesbian activists at Smith College climbed in through windows and stormed the podium in a riot scene shortly after Ryan Sorba began a speech on his upcoming book, The Born Gay Hoax. The melee forced an end to the speech before a packed hall in the library on the Northampton campus. Uniformed police officers and a plainclothes security guard were in the room but mostly just stood and watched. Rather than take action against the rioters, the officers and a university official walked to the podium and ordered Sorba to leave the room “for his own safety.”

I get it now. Universities are "refuge cities" for those unable to grasp reality.

Been this way for a LOOOONG time. Not only for those unable to grasp reality, but also for those who either consciously or unconsciously understand that they don't have what it takes to compete in that real world.

They later imprisoned him "for his own safety", but when the rioters marched to the prison to continue their protest, the officers and university officials had him executed and beheaded. Sorba's head was placed on a pike before the rioters who tossed bags of excrement at it. All of this was for Sorba's own safety.

For some reason, of everything I've read, that goofy, cryptic piece has always had a spot on a dusty shelf in the very back of my brain.
That, and this line (from a different piece, entitled "Paranoia"): "You close your eyes and all you see are breasts." That's not paranoia.

The universities were taken over by the totalitarians a long time ago. Now we no longer have academic freedom. The effects on our society will be toxic.

Well my oh my how times have changed.
I truly believe they are “born gay” and that there is a “gay gene”. Look at their behavior! No normal people behave this way. Only people with birth defects must truly behave this way. (and I do mean both being filthy disease ridden queers AND rushing through an open window to cause a riot!)
I get the feeling that if a bunch of conservative students had done something similar to a gay activist speaker, the cops would have busted heads, if not opened fire

Even if a “gay gene” is ever found, this does not justify acting it out, any more than we can justify iniquity because we are born with a strong proclivity to sin. God gives grace (at least initially) to resist sin (Gn. 4:7), and can grant repentance, but the typical homosexual seeks to justify sin, rather than turn to Christ from it. As they know that the Bible is the ultimate authority, they go to great lengths in vainly seeking to negate the Creators wise injunctions against it. The profs should try teaching secondary school. Honestly, keeping order and requiring politeness are major tasks of secondary school teachers.
Sexual deviants will not tolerate any that oppose this disturbed behavior. The rioting and violent opposition is not unlike pedophiles that are often violent with victims that oppose them.

My observations over the last several decades suggests liberalism actually makes people stupid.
While male homosexuals like to talk about feeling like they were 'born gay', most lesbians proudly say theirs was a political decision as a rejection of the patriarchy. Or in the case of some lipstick lesbians, they'll do anybody, male or female.
