Police state? With a former mad bomber in the counsel of the Mayor who's distributing automatic weapons to the cops while preventing civilians from protecting themselves, it's pretty clear Illinois has gone over the edge into civil chaos.

I know there are exceptions but tin god syndrome abounds in most cops and arming any of them with machine guns will greatly serve to bolster that mindset. The morphing of the PDs all across this country into military type hit squads should be of major concern to us all. A truly FREE society does not fear its’ government.

The M4 is not a machine gun. Even if they get the LE/Military version, it is selective fire with the choices being semi auto or 3 round burst. Most LE models are semi auto only.
