AP Poll: Clinton leads McCain, doing better than Obama (Rush Will get Hillary Elected President)

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Hillary Rodham Clinton now leads John McCain by 9 points in a head-to-head presidential matchup, according to an Associated Press-Ipsos poll that bolsters her argument that she is more electable than Democratic rival Barack Obama.

The survey released Monday gives the New York senator and former first lady a fresh talking point as she works to raise much-needed campaign cash and persuade pivotal undecided superdelegates to side with her in the drawn-out Democratic primary fight.

Helped by independents, young people and seniors, Clinton gained ground this month in a hypothetical match with Sen. McCain, the GOP nominee-in-waiting. She now leads McCain, 50 percent to 41 percent, while Obama remains virtually tied with McCain, 46 percent to 44 percent.

Both Democrats were roughly even with McCain in the previous poll about three weeks ago.

Since then, Clinton won the Pennsylvania primary, raising questions anew about whether Obama can attract broad swaths of voters needed to triumph in such big states come the fall when the Democratic nominee will go up against McCain.

Added Steve Lombardo, a GOP pollster: "This just reinforces the sentiment that a lot of Republican strategists are having right now -- that Clinton might actually be the more formidable fall candidate for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is that Obama can't seem to get his footing back."

But on the bright side, Rush is making a killing selling "Operation Chaos" t-shirts.

I know...I know...this all part of his "plan" to create "chaos" and make sure the weaker candidate, whom he believed to be Hillary, would get nominated.

But every day we find more evidence that Obama's the weaker of the two.

Furthermore, all the chortling about "chaos" ignores that it gives Hillary her long awaited "Sister Soljah" moment. When the Sharpton wing of the DNC riots in Denver she can condemn the rioters as "extremists" and bolster her "moderate" credentials.

Rush Limbaugh has consistently underestimated the Clintons since 1992 and consistently predicted their demise. He is completely out of his depth here...but at least he's selling a lot of t-shirts.

If McCain can’t cut the mustard, it’s McCain’s fault.

Like McKeating is a conservative?

I love this political theater.

Rush has the Demagogues spinning in circles, and that's a good thing.

I think you’ve got something there. If this is rope a dope — who’s the dope?

This campaign is McCain’s to loose. And, he’s doing a damned fine job of loosing it. What a loon.

I don’t care what any polls say. Hillary is much more beatable than Obama.

People’s love affair with Obama is completely irrational. Nothing he says or does dissuades them from thinking he is the messiah. This is especially true among black voters.

Hillary has many more built in negatives that people will admit. On top of that, (as much as it pains me to say it), she would be far less damaging to our country than Mr. Marxism.

As usual, Rush is right.

Don’t forget to blame McCain for his troubles. In the past couple of weeks, he’s criticized the NC Republican Party for running an anti-Obama ad, blasted the President who didn’t drive the buses to evacuate the loafers before Katrina hit NO, and campaigned among Black voters, who might give the GOP their customary 5%, though with a fellow Black running this year, that number will probably drop to near zero.

McCain is a flop of a candidate, just as the Democrats and “Independents” planned he would be when they voted for him in the primaries.

The only person that will get Hilldog elected is McCain and his support of liberal positions. What Rush has done was keep one dem candidate from being crowned, instead, they are still fighting each other instead of our side.

That is a good picture of Rush and Hillary, perhaps Hllary will finally ditch the impeached ex president, and go for Rush, being as he had Operation Chaos going for her.. Gads I was hoping old Hillary would be gone by Pennsylvania, I think she will be the next POTUS, thanks to Rush.

Obama is the weaker candidate, but Operation Chaos served its purpose well. The only reason Obama is weaker is because of the Clinton Attack Machine. If Hillary dropped out 2 months ago, none of the negatives about him would have seen the light of day. Certainly not by McLame. Obama would be the Annointed One, the True Savior, and we’d have him as President.

Operation Chaos needs to play out. Hillary cannot be nominated without destroying her Party. I think a dead dog has a chance to beat her or Obama. Unfortunately, that’s what the GOP picked for a candidate.

Even without Obama’s comments about gun nuts and such, there was no way he was going to be elected President. All of this crap that Rush has done to keep Obama from sealing the deal with the nomination has been totally brainless. Rush’s position all along should have been— Go ahead, Democrats. Nominate a black socialist with a Muslim name as your nominee. I dare you!

Now, the superdelegates have the opportunity to save the day and bring in the Clintons. Rush should just get himself high on Oxy and stay off the radio.

Agree. Another Clinton POTUS is, IMO, THE WORST possible outcome. If Limbaugh brings this about it will be the dumbest thing he's done to date.

Obama is very beatable as developments are showing. OTH, Clinton can actually win in Nov. Put a stake in her heart at the earliest opportunity. OC is just too risky.

I wonder does this poll take into account what may or may not happen to the black vote if Hildabeast steals this nomination from Hussein Obama?

I have joked for years that the blacks would vote for the dims even if they knew that the dims planned to sell them back into slavery after the election. But in this current case so much has been invested in their minds that Hussein Obama is due the White House, I'm not sure that they will not in fact walk or sit at home on their hands if Hildabeast is the nominee.

Bull-shiite. Obama couldn't win states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, and so on unless he were running against that Austrian douchebag who raped his daughter and kept her and her kids locked up in his basement for 24 years.
