Note that the casualties were caused by intra-gang fighting, not by the police or military suppressing them. The Mexican authorites are either helpless or complicit in these wars.

That can't be right. It is illegal to own a firearm in Mexico. No doubt they bought them at a gun show in the USA. We need to close that loophole so this out of control violence can be stopped! /s/
