The father of Staff Sergeant Matt Maupin says two of his suspected killers face the death penalty in Iraq.
However, Keith Maupin says that is for crimes against the Iraqi people, and not his son's death.
Maupin was taken captive outside Baghdad four years ago.
His parents went to Washington Thursday for new information on the investigation.
According to Keith Maupin, the Pentagon says the military is looking for at least six other suspects.
Maupin says the stability provided by last year's troop surge gave a tipster enough confidence to disclose the location of Matt's remains.
"There's a lot of trust that's got to be involved, and it took them about a year to be able to build that trust to where somebody walks up and says, 'I think they buried him over there,'" said Keith Maupin.
"And that's where it was. He's been gone for awhile, and I can tell you this much, we're not going to get all of Matt. Some of Matt will be in Iraq forever."
A visitation for Maupin will take place Saturday, April 26th at the Union Township Civic Center in Clermont County.
The funeral is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 27th at Great American Ball Park.

Can someone explain why we need to follow the Geneva Convention when our enemies are willing to execute our POWs?
The Geneva Convention does not even protect irregular forces like al qaeda.
Maupin plans include Bush

Police departments in Clermont County are making plans to handle a visit by President Bush, but it’s too soon to tell whether the commander in chief will actually be among the mourners during memorial services for Army Staff Sgt. Matt Maupin later this month.
“Plans are in place in the event that he does or he doesn’t” visit, Union Township Police Lt. Scott Gaviglia said.
“That’s about a 10 percent chance,” Gaviglia said of Bush visiting. “I’ve dealt with dignitaries before, and that 10 percent could go up to 90 or down to 5” percent from day to day.
“The Secret Service does not release the president’s schedule generally more than three to five days out,” Gaviglia said. “So even if he is planning on coming, nobody knows. (Regardless), we’ve made dignitary plans. ...
“The Secret Service is always looking for as much help as you can give them,” Gaviglia said.
Local, county and state police could be called upon to help with crowd control, road closures and the procession detail, he said.
Milford Police Chief Mark Machan said his department has agreed to help if requested. For example, officers from Milford could help to police the township while Union Township officers were occupied at the visitation.
A visitation for Maupin is planned for April 26 in the gym at the Union Township Civic Center, 4350 Aicholtz Road. The start depends on when the plane carrying Maupin’s remains arrives in Greater Cincinnati, but it’s likely to begin mid-morning, Gaviglia said. The visitation could last about 24 hours.
“We are making plans for a large crowd,” Gaviglia said.
Occupancy shouldn’t be an issue because the line should move continuously as people pay their respects as they pass Maupin’s casket and his family, Gaviglia said.
The Maupin family is leaning toward a funeral April 27 at Great American Ball Park downtown, Gaviglia said.
“Generally what you see is if the dignitary is going to come he would probably go to the funeral (rather than the visitation),” Gaviglia said of the president. “I have been advised to expect large numbers of local, county and state officials” at the visitation.
Union Township officials haven’t received word yet on whether Gov. Ted Strickland or any presidential candidates will attend the visitation, Gaviglia said.
I know the feeling.
I’m so glad that W will be there. My heart is still so heavy about Matt.
It’s not a certainty, but a possibility, as the article states. You just know he’s heartsick, but I wonder if it will place him in a tough position regarding other cases. God bless him with wisdom.
His parents are real heroes too...through their terrible vigil waiting for news of Matt, they have continued to support our troops through Yellow Ribbon Support Center. Consider helping them as a tribute to Matt and all our fine military.
My heart goes out to the Maupin Family. Hopefully Bush will be able to attend Matt's funeral, security is the biggest question. I'd be great if the Pres Candidates can attend, provided they can avoid politicizing their support and respect.
Thankfully the Pentagon is keeping the Maupin's informed about developments concerning Matt's captors. According to Keith Maupin, the Pentagon says the military is looking for at least six other suspects.
The sooner they find them the better!
Prayers for this hero’s parents who faced the extra grief of not having closure until his remains were found. May they catch the other suspects and prosecute quickly.
