VIDEO: Maine College Republicans have posted a video showing the desecration of our American flag at the University of Maine, Farmington, by an 'art' student. Vet restrained from picking flags up off the ground.
My cousin lives in Portland and he’s so sick of the liberalism up there, he’s ready to move.
Not surprising from the hate-America communists up there.
Most people were walking around them and not stepping on them. The short-haired woman teacher was such a simpering sweetie.

Interesting and somewhat encouraging that a majority of the students shown on the video tried to walk around the flags. Shows that they have more integrity than the university administration itself.
In slight defense of the UMF students though, I did notice that most of them at least refused to step on our flag.

I did notice that almost everyone walking through the building went AROUND the flags.
There was the one young man in what appeared to be a denim dress who was standing on one of them, but I only noticed one other person who intentionally walked across a flag inseatd of around it.
yes, but the good people that try to prevent it would be arrested for infringing on his rights.

We spend about 5-6 months per year traveling in our RV. (7.3MPG but who’s counting). We will never go back to CA, OR, and WA.
I’m afraid the “art” student will have grounds to sue the University in a few years. He is studying to become an artist, I think when he realizes the only job for which he is qualified is dishwasher, he will realize he’s been cheated.

I was speaking of Portland, ME but those areas are to be equally avoided, you are correct.
I am glad that most students tried to avoid the flags. Honestly, however, these types of displays should simply be ignored.
wife is from massachusetts and we moved south , as soon as the homosexuals think they clould be married we packed up, happy we did now they refused to let people vote on the issue, refuse to let people vote on reducing tax and now parents will have no say that teachewrs can tell kids to have two mums and two dads, it’;s Ok for boys to cross dress and infact they should try it

Nothing used to make (or frankly, still does) me madder than some fool claiming to be "From Maine", because they have a condo that they visit there two weeks a year. I've got a coworker that "Just HAS to move back there" based on a summer co-op she did in Portland for a few weeks. She comes and talks to me all the time about "Our home state". Idiot.
Spend a winter up there (shovelling the end of your dooryard 3 times a storm because the plow keeps filling it in) AND spend a spring up there (thawing out a drainpipe with a blowtorch because your cellar's flooded) AND a mud season, as well (no comment needed, if you've lived through one and know what "mud boards" are). Then we'll talk about "spending time in Maine". Unless you're about 3rd generation, though, you'll never be "From Maine".

WTF is an art student at a state university anyway? Just some bunghole who can’t draw, sculpt, or paint who needs some place to be during the formative years. Such crud ought to lie low and not draw attention to themselves, the art department, or what passes for a university in those parts, lest the people who actually work and pay the taxes which support this garden of earthly delights commence to question the need for such a costly playroom for social malcontents and economic ne’er do-wells.

I would have been arrested. No way I could have stood there and watched our Flag be walked on. The look on that vets face moved me to tears.
In order to exercise my right to stop such an action, I am now going to pick up the flag, and since it is now dirty and desecrated, I am going to dispose of it as directed by US law and custom.
If you attempt to physically stop me from doing this, I will exercise my right to physical self defense as I have been instructed to do while a member of the US military. I will meet your force with force, and it will be your responsibility if you are injured in any way, as I expect you well may be.
If, on the other hand, you or any person you direct, and/or any person including you or anyone else acting under color of legal authority attempts to arrest me, I will submit quietly to that arrest as I am required to do by law.
I will then have my attorney vigorously defend me from those criminal charges in the required court of law. I clearly expect that I would be acquitted by at least one person in a jury of 12, and that's all it takes to prevent a conviction.
Upon that verdict of “not guilty,” a verdict of “not proven” or decision of any legal authority to nol pros this case, I will then litigate for extensive legal damages to me and my civil rights as is clearly enumerated in the fourth and fourteenth amendments to the Constitution and other applicable laws.
These are very serious matters and I would ask for very significant damages from you personally, your underlings personally, the University and the State of Maine for each and every such violation.
Now, you have a decision to make. Do you allow me to exercise my civil rights,,, or do you try to stop me and incur serious legal and possibly physical consequences for trying to do so?”
Then go pick up the flag and dispose of it by private burning as prescribed.

The art student is susan crane. Here is how she describes herself. And where the story gets real strange!

Outside of Portland, Eugene, and Ashland the rest of the state is GOP country. I suggest you hit the Crater Lake Highway and then head over to the Bend area. Great areas and great people.
Well this is nothing new. Shameful and pretty disgusting. Maine welcomes Somali Muslims who are probably enjoying this spectacle.
But what we really need to discuss further is the desecration of churches and the cross committed by the newly formed terror statelet JIHADIS of Kosovo—A PLAN PUT INTO FORCE BY CLINTON WHICH THE THIS ADMINISTRATION HAS ACCEPTED AND CONDONED.
I am disgusted that people who identify themselves as Americans think it’s acceptable to treat our flag with disrespect. I do not, however, support laws that make such behavior criminal. I do not see behavior as speech, protected by the 1st Amendment; I see flags as property, protected by the 4th & 5th Amendments. Public disgrace for disgraceful behavior needs to be more prevalent.
