Obama gaining ground on Clinton

US PRESIDENTIAL contender Barack Obama has wiped out his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton's yawning lead in Indiana and trails by just five points in Pennsylvania, according to a new poll.

Ahead of the crunch Pennsylvania primary next Tuesday, the Los Angeles Times/Bloomberg poll suggested that Senator Obama has not suffered overly from his description of working-class voters as "bitter".

The poll gave the former first lady a lead over Senator Obama of 46 per cent to 41 in Pennsylvania, down from double-digit margins in earlier polls, and also had her losing in both Indiana and North Carolina, which both vote next on May 6.

Analysts say Senator Clinton needs a thumping victory in Pennsylvania next week to persuade Democratic luminaries known as "superdelegates" that Senator Obama, who leads in the overall delegate count, is unelectable against Republican John McCain.

Like Pennsylvania, Indiana is a rust-belt state full of the kind of blue-collar voters that have formed the bedrock of Senator Clinton's support.

Another poll released on Monday by SurveyUSA gave her a 16-point lead there.

But the LA Times poll, conducted from Thursday to Monday at the height of the "bitter" furore, had Senator Obama ahead in Indiana by 40 per cent to 35 for Senator Clinton.

In follow-up interviews with respondents, the newspaper reported, some voters complained that allegations that Senator Obama was elitist, and criticism of fiery sermons by his former pastor, were "sideshows" to serious policy issues.

PA is important not in a close tally, no matter who is on top but only in that Shrillary needs something approaching a 20% victory to leverage her strategy to convince Super Politician Delegates to join her coup against Obama.

In fact she needs that margin in all the remaining contests but PA is one of the best places she has that chance. There and West Virginia.

Keep an eye on the moving goalposts and listen to what propaganda comes out of the Shrillary camp. They are going to try to make some creative framework for Super Politician Delegates to hand her the crown.

The search for the coronation continues!

And keep a lookout for a bomb to come soon after PA. Shrillary has to go nuclear soon and trust me, she will.

She will have no problem with taking Obama down for 2012, if she can’t do it now.

It is who she is.

I think that Obama is the one to beat. Clinton is fading in the polls- both in Penn and nation-wide.
ABC has a new everything poll out- and dems see Obama being able to win the national now over Clinton 62 to 31 percent. That is a huge change. In this poll Obama beats McCain 49 to 44, but clinton loses to McCain 44 to 48.
I know a lot of Democrats. None are concerned over Obamas bitter comment. Most agree with him and think that's why we have people who are single issue voters. None seem concerned over Rev. Wrights comments. Some support Clinton, others Obama- none support McCain even though they all seem to think he's a good man- and all say they want a democrat- any democrat in the white house.
This is not going to be easy.

This is not going to be easy.

The living proof of which is John effin Kerry. Everyone knew he was a doofus and still he came too close to being POTUS.
