Yeah, but it seems pretty obvious that she sampled the kool-aid somewhere along the line.

That would be the Klinton Kool-aid or something similar. I agree, based on her politics here in California.

Republicans booing her will be the lead story on the network news tonight. She picked a fight and the MSM will coronate her for it.

....and Obama and Hillary will be beating a path to her door for her endorsement.

I guess I’m just getting tired of all the vitriolic commentary on politics, etc. that seems to be saturating the airwaves and the internet lately. There’s so much mean-spiritedness coming from both sides of the political spectrum. It’s just getting a bit tiresome.

That being said, I would have booed her, too. Her comments were uncalled for and despicable. But I think I’ll pass on the other personal attacks on her looks and on her daughter.

Speier's 13-year-old daughter, who was watching from the House gallery, asked, "Why are they booing my mom?"

Because, sweetie, your mom is an unpatriotic Marxist who hates the country of your birth and all its institutions.

Speier had a reputation in Sacto as one of the brighter legislators. She was insightful on healthcare and insurance issues, and tried to bring some enlightenment to her hopelessly ignorant delegation.

However, she has always represented a far left constituency.

Me, too. I was just stunned they all looked/appeared so much alike. The rest of my comment should be judged as I said, and I’m sorry. Every time I open my mouth to say something catty, it never fails to be a rap on the knuckles immediately. Guess that’s why I try it so seldom. Note to self — just say nothing ABSOLUTELY nothing.

Name anyone on the Left who denounced the websites of photos comparing Bush to monkeys. Or denounced AP/Reuters/editors et al embedding captions insulting Republicans and the president on official journalist sites.

I make no apologies for laughing at the enemy. They are enemies of the state.

They may never be tried for their crimes but history will note the actions of the Copperhead Democrats who want to cut and run for political expediency. More boat people? More killing fields? No thanks.

Speier
1209 Howard Ave., 2nd Floor
Burlingame, California 94010
650.347.4370

Bio Jackie Speier was born in San Francisco and grew up on the Peninsula. Her father, Fred, a teamster, and her mother, Nancy, a seamstress, raised Jackie and her brother to be independent and hard working.

While attending public schools in South San Francisco, Jackie learned judo from legendary Cahill's Academy in San Bruno where she achieved the level of brown belt. She graduated from Mercy High School in Burlingame, and received her BA from UC Davis and her JD from UC Hastings College of the Law.

After becoming legal counsel to Congressman Leo J. Ryan, she accompanied him in November 1978, to Jonestown, Guyana to investigate the People's Temple. The Congressman was assassinated, and Jackie was shot five times and left for dead. As she has said many times, those 22 hours of waiting for help to arrive, alone on the tarmac, molded her philosophy, her zest for work and life, and proved to her that no one is guaranteed a tomorrow.

After returning home, Jackie became the youngest person ever elected to the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors. After six years as a Supervisor, Jackie went on to serve 10 years in the California State Assembly. In 1998, she was elected to the State Senate, where she represented San Francisco and San Mateo County for eight years. During her tenure in the legislature Jackie achieved an impressive record with over 300 pieces of legislation signed into law by both Democratic and Republican Governors. She has authored groundbreaking legislation in privacy and consumer protection, child welfare, and healthcare. Many of her bills have become templates for other state and national legislation.

Jackie received "Legislator of the Year" honors from many groups, including the League of California Cities and the California School Board Association. The American Medical Association has given Jackie their national award for outstanding government service. Vote the Coast recognized her with their Coastal Steward Award. Other accolades have come from groups as diverse as the Professional Association for Childhood Education, the California Certified Organic Farmers, the California National Organization for Women, the San Mateo Business and Development Group, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, Mobilization Against AIDS and Planned Parenthood of California.

Jackie's first husband, Steve Sierra, was killed in a car accident, leaving her a single mother for eight years. Jackie is now married to Barry Dennis. She has two children, Jackson Sierra, a sophomore in college, and Stephanie Sierra, an eighth grader. She is currently of counsel at the law firm of Hanson Bridgett LLP, in San Francisco

Listen, I’m one of the biggest offenders in this area!

I’ve got a whole bunch of unflattering photos of Hillary carefully bookmarked and ready to post at a moment’s notice. I’m just getting to the point where I wonder if this is all just a big waste of time.

(Your comment was pretty harmless. I wouldn’t worry about it.)

Winner of the Nancy Pelosi LOOK-ALIKE and ACT-ALIKE CONTEST! Except in the "Chest Department"!

Nancy's got bigger pearls because she has been in government longer. Simple!

Is the one in the middle Brittany's next rival? /s

We’re in for a show. This gal’s the ultimate tragedy queen. She’s basically built her political career on the pain in her life-and to be fair, she has been through a lot, starting with the Ryan incident and including a car crash which killed, I believe, her then husband and a daughter and put her in the hospital. Still, we ought to have a pool about when she starts the waterworks. When she was in the California assembly, I don’t remember a video clip where she didn’t break out in tears at the end. Tom Lantos, you will be missed.

["Speier's 13-year-old daughter, who was watching from the House gallery, asked, "Why are they booing my mom?" "]

Well, young lady, it's because she's a naive, ignorant, America-hating socialist loon, who, given the chance, would destroy everything we hold dear.

You have a point, but she is out there with her mom.

Well yeah, she's 13. I doubt she had much of a choice.

That said, hopefully this will start her down the road of finding out why people think her mom is such a schmuck. It probably won't, but we can always hope.
