A long, long time ago... I can still remember How that 'Toons used to make me smile. And I knew 'cause Pookie had the chance And knew us Freepers at a glance That he'd set us grinnin' for a while. But April 10th made me shiver With the news FR delivered. Bad news on the doorstep; I couldn't take one more step. ...But something touched me deep inside The day the Pookie Toons died. So bye-bye, Mr. Pookie Toons guy. Drove my chevy to the levee, But the levee was dry. And us good old Freeps wiped a tear from our eye Sighgin', "This'll be the day that I die. "this'll be the day that I die."
Beautiful!.....Now I have that “TOON” stuck in my head all day!.................
Beautiful poem
