Planned Parenthood officials did not produce a response to this claim. The organization performed 22 percent of all abortions in 2005 (260,000 out of 1.2 million abortions).

Blacks do, indeed, have much higher rates of abortions than whites or other minority groups. In 2000, while blacks made up 17 percent of live births, they made up more than twice that share of abortions (36 percent). If those aborted children had been born, the number of blacks born would have been slightly over 50 percent greater than it was.
The comparison with whites and other minorities is striking. Whites made up 78 percent of live births, but only 57 percent of abortions. Non-black minorities had 7 percent of live births and 5 percent of abortions. If the aborted children had been born for either group, the percentage increase in the number of children born to these groups would have been less than that for blacks: 16 and 32 percent, respectively.
Data from 1973 on indicate that black women's share of abortions has consistently been at least twice their share of live births.
But not all those babies would necessarily have been born if abortion were illegal or harder to obtain. A number of recent academic studies have found that making abortion more difficult results in less pre-marital sex and fewer pre-marital pregnancies.

In 1973, the year the Supreme Court rendered its Roe v. Wade decision, there were 11 abortions per 1000 women aged 15 to 44. Eight years later, that number doubled for the same group to 22. In terms of the total number of abortions, 615,831 legal abortions took place in 1973; 1,300,760 in 1981.

How Planned Parenthood Duped America
At a March 1925 international birth control gathering in New York City, a speaker warned of the menace posed by the “black” and “yellow” peril. The man was not a Nazi or Klansman; he was Dr. S. Adolphus Knopf, a member of Margaret Sanger’s American Birth Control League (ABCL), which along with other groups eventually became known as Planned Parenthood.
Sanger’s other colleagues included avowed and sophisticated racists. One, Lothrop Stoddard, was a Harvard graduate and the author of The Rising Tide of Color against White Supremacy. Stoddard was something of a Nazi enthusiast who described the eugenic practices of the Third Reich as “scientific” and “humanitarian.” And Dr. Harry Laughlin, another Sanger associate and board member for her group, spoke of purifying America’s human “breeding stock” and purging America’s “bad strains.” These “strains” included the “shiftless, ignorant, and worthless class of antisocial whites of the South.”
Not to be outdone by her followers, Margaret Sanger spoke of sterilizing those she designated as “unfit,” a plan she said would be the “salvation of American civilization.: And she also spike of those who were “irresponsible and reckless,” among whom she included those “ whose religious scruples prevent their exercising control over their numbers.” She further contended that “there is no doubt in the minds of all thinking people that the procreation of this group should be stopped.” That many Americans of African origin constituted a segment of Sanger considered “unfit” cannot be easily refuted.
While Planned Parenthood’s current apologists try to place some distance between the eugenics and birth control movements, history definitively says otherwise. The eugenic theme figured prominently in the Birth Control Review, which Sanger founded in 1917. She published such articles as “Some Moral Aspects of Eugenics” (June 1920), “The Eugenic Conscience” (February 1921), “The purpose of Eugenics” (December 1924), “Birth Control and Positive Eugenics” (July 1925), “Birth Control: The True Eugenics” (August 1928), and many others.

I find that extremely hard to believe. There are lots of other easier means of contraception out there.
I just wish that the people in some poor black communities would just wake up and break the chain that is in constant motion. I personally feel that some politicians(namely democrats) like to keep minorities uneducated, totally dependant and poor just so they can manipulate them. They also don't mind offering an unlimited supply of abortions to these communities so that they keep their numbers in check. It is sick!

But I don’t want to digress. I did a paper in Eng 111 about the root cause of all of the ills in the black community. It is “fatherlessness”. Fatherlessness has a negative effect on graduation rates, crime rates, teen pregnancy and poverty. It has become a viscious cycle in my community. I feel like so called black leaders are wasting energy chasing law suits when all of our resources should be spent on promoting the black family unit. In 1890 over 80% of all families were headed by married couples. In recent years it is only 38%. What happened? The New Deal, Welfare and down we went. It is time we stop being slaves to this government and stand on our own two feet.
Judging by the trend I have noticed on FR in the past few months - I suspicion FR has been widely infiltrated by liberals

Abortion is a symptom of social decay and not the disease itself.
The average woman today is pretty much required to have sex without marriage or even a stable relationship. The average guy will usually just go elsewhere if he doesn't get some within a month or so. Contraceptives aren't 100% effective or used properly so these women often end up pregnant with no good path to choose.

When I was a kid, my family was considered weird because we voted Republican and most of our dads were in the military, but today in the area I live in, we fit right in with the others of hispanic ancestry because most of them are in the military and vote conservative/republican-there is still hope this will all come around right (pun intended), I believe.

There is, in this climate of the most dangerous weapon of war against our freedoms, the Stealth Weapon: PC, no way there can be 'dialog' between the Black Liberationists and the white community. I would think that your paper could also extend to most abortions no matter what race the person belongs to. When boys/men are raised to believe that there is a way out and that they no longer are responsible what do we expect?
