Two Israeli civilians were shot dead Wednesday afternoon when a group of Palestinian terrorists infiltrated the border from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel, at the filling depot at the Nahal Oz border terminal.
Two other Israelis were wounded in the attack. The Israeli emergency service Zaka said two Palestinian terrorists were killed.
"Terrorists entered Nahal Oz and the fuel depot. They shot at civilians inside. There are two Israelis dead and two wounded," an IDF spokeswoman said.

Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack, along with a group linked to the Al-Aqsa Brigades.

Jerusalem officials: Hamas behind Nahal Oz attack

“Hamas will pay a heavy price for its actions,” officials in Jerusalem stated Wednesday, claiming that the terror attack in Nahal Oz was orchestrated by the organization. “Hamas is responsible for the attack in Nahal Oz – it took part in authorizing it, planning it and perhaps even more.”
“This a cynical attack,” an official added. “On the one hand, Hamas complains of the blockade on Gaza, and on the other hand it is responsible for the attack on the fuel terminal, which provides gas and fuel to the residents of the Strip,” he stated. (Roni Sofer)
