I seem to recall that one of the more recent incarnations of the "Call of Duty" series is set in a Middle Eastern setting and you're fighting terrorists...I haven't played it so I can't say for sure. The description at Amazon only refers to the adversary as a "rogue enemy group".
Perhaps others here know more about it or can recommend a better one.
