Salt Lake City (AP) -- A federal grand jury on Wednesday indicted the cousin of a man who was apparently poisoned by the deadly toxin ricin.
Thomas Tholen, 54, was indicted on a charge of misprision of felony. U.S. Attorney Brett Tolman said Tholen knew ricin had been illegally produced but did not report it to authorities and lied to cover up his concealment.
"The consequences of this action could have been disastrous," Tolman said.
Tholen, of Riverton, is the cousin of Roger Bergendorff, who apparently was poisoned by ricin and suffered respiratory ailments. He regained consciousness March 12 after about a month in a Las Vegas hospital.
A brother, Erich Bergendorff, has said it's not clear if Roger Bergendorff made the ricin or watched someone else do it.

I’ve always wanted a secret laboratory... but these days, it might get me in trouble.
PING to your lists.
Cousin of Coma Guy Indicted in Ricin Cover-up.
It’s also not clear if Roger Bergendorff produced the ricin or watched someone else do it. The plot thickens. Lots of unanswered questions.
OMG! I haven’t been pinging the list much on this story...but this is real news! Thanks for the ping. going back to read it and will add a few cents later. Thanks again.
DOMESTIC TERRORISM ALERT. Please let me know by freepmail if you want to be put on or taken off this list. Thanks.
They are actually going to try him for a treason related crime?
Awesome!!
PING! Hope I did not leave anyone out of the ping list. Trying to find it now...lol.

Keep going back to this bit I ‘sleuthed’ in the first thread:
The war on terror : implications for the future of U.S. relations with France and Germany
by Thomas S Tholen

???
Wonder if there is going to be a connection?
I guess you are one of those "ban guns" Liberals.
You never know when those organic chemicals might suddenly levitate and kill someone!
For us educated Americans, we know that Ricin is a chemical produced from bacteria which naturally grows on Castor beans.
I you want to try someone for treason, it would have to be mother nature and her bacteria.
It is unfortunate that the FBI dude’s name is Tolman and comma dude’s cousin is Tholen.
Already messing up my messy googles....more later....’developing’...
LOL
always wondered about that too!

FYI:(snip)
“Misprision of terrorism
Misprision has in effect been recriminalised in England and Wales, in the case of terrorism (although the name misprision is not used): failing to disclose information that could have prevented an act of terrorism and failing to disclose information that may help police investigate an act of terrorism are both offences.”
This might be the case with this charge....
Very interesting, thank you.
“Ive always wanted a secret laboratory... but these days, it might get me in trouble.”
I have one. Not a big one. If you get one, make sure you have room. Every time I turn around, my cape knocks over stuff. And, after a week’s use, my tights get baggy knees.
Plus, it’s hard to use a microscope wearing a mask.
Oh GADS..found this on a google...LMAO.
DU picked up on my post back then and then wondered ‘if it was a freeper’...LOL

but the link was found on the right wing freeper site, freerepublic.com, and there is no confirmation of an tie to the cousin reported by AP.”
