My faith teaches me life is sacred, Kaine says in a television ad that responds to Kilgores spots. I personally oppose the death penalty. But I take my oath of office seriously and Ill enforce the death penalty. ~ Candidate Tim Kaine, 2005

Now Kaine just needs to sign an order to put all murders on hold while the supremes deliberate.

Another soft-on-crime liberal at work. If it was me, I would use this opportunity to clear out death row before the Supreme Court outlaws the death penalty again.
I suppose Tim Kaine, in his respect of life, is also closing down all of the state's abortion clinics, because the Supreme Court has yet to decide on whether or not slaughtering unborn children is also cruel and unusual punishment.

Courts are not allowing executions until the SC decision anyway. What’s the difference?

Not possible unless you’re going in and killing them yourself. Courts have basically stopped allowing executions until the SC rules.

Courts have basically stopped allowing executions until the SC rules. The state should try to pursue a method of execution other than lethal injection. A firing squad is quick and effective.

The state should try to pursue a method of execution other than lethal injection. Unfortunately that is rarely an option, based on Consitutional issues.

Kaine pre-empted the work of the court. It was not his job to do so until after the legal process had been exhausted.
And thus, he violated his campaign promise to “uphold the law.”

And I’d rather the resources that would have been used in a vain attempt to execute the scumbags before the SC rules be applied to putting other scumbags behind bars. Why continue what everybody knows would be a completely useless effort?
To: P8riot
Looks like the lib governor is out of step with the rest of us...60+% opposed to his decision. ;)
