I believe they are aware of Oil running out as I read in Time Magazine, UAE Oil Fields are expected to dry first. Hence the effor to model themselves are Singapore or something like that......Service Based Economy.....the region needs an Economic hub.

I believe the UAE will pull it off - they'll be around after the oil is gone. That tourists stuff the UAE doing is working - people love the place. And business? If you want to do business in the ME, you gotta go to the UAE.

But the Sauds don't even have the Osama types under control and no one wants to work there, visit there or even think of being there. Some people work there - and they're being paid more because the place is so unpleasant.
