This is what happens on the intertubes these days.
Penguins fly to feast on spagetti trees.

The next program in the series will be about flying pigs.

That has to be an April Fools. Looks pretty shopped.

Great pictures. It’s believed that some make it to Virgin Islands and Cancun, where they work as day laborers painting the horizon on horizon pools

I guess if OBAMA can get people to believe he isn’t a muslim, anything is possible.

Wow, I can’t wait. Its not sporting to shoot a bird on the ground.

Awesome pictures- but I vote that this is an April Fool’s article. I think some varieties are able to fly very short distances and fly (or appear to be flying) out of the water and up onto land, but not able to really fly.

'April fool's joke.' That would be correct. Terry Jones, ex-Monty Python is a clue.

It's an April Fool's Joke. It's already Apr. 1 in the U.K.
Even if this story isn't true, there's another thread at FR about an animal accomplishment that's even more extraordinary: an elephant that paints a self portrait.
The video is here

Your hope is in vain.
That publication revels in nonsense reporting that is taken seriously and the report is attributed to a Monty Python team member.
Take a look at those fat birds and their wings - they couldn’t fly unless you strapped rocket motors to their backs.
April fools!
