Frankly, the VCU administration and the State Legislature should get on with it.
This university is an attempt to build a new urban campus in an existing city-scape.
In general, if you discount the murders, it's pretty crime free ~ just like DC.
Not again. It seems another student is murdered senselessly every week by these scumbucket dregs of society.
It seems like a good time for all students to start packing heat.
No doubt one of the old pre-desegregation institutions was included in the new university.
I think if you look this up on the Internet you can pick up on all the names of all the places brought into VCU. It's not exactly an old school ~ a counterpart, both in terms of period of existence as well as socio-economic-geographic location is IUPUI, or Indiana University and Purdue University at Indianapolis. There are some other schools like this around the country. They can work provided they are extensively policed and have lots of garage parking.
It's worth noting that a good number of America's top schools have "downtown" locations, and are dangerous as HE!! at night. Carnegie-Mellon, Yale, .... UCLA (on the non-Beverly Hills perimeters). Yale just announced a multi-billion dollar dormitory construction project so they can get their students out of some of the very dangerous neighborhoods in New Haven.
BLACKS KILLING WHITES - The same anger Preched by Rev. Wright.
Too bad these two students weren’t armed and locked and loaded.
Even thugs know to go where the money is. With the unreasonablely high cost of higher education it's not hard for them to reason out that these college kids have money and things that thugs want. Add in the jelousness that thugs have who dropped out of school because their culture has told them that education was not kweel and you have a bedrock of inculcated hatred that has bubbled to the top of the media in the RAT primary race (That's why their leaders want the race ended ASAP). These things must be swept under the media rug in order for the RATS to maintain control. Much like 9/11 was swept under the rug. For the RATS, the sooner the better so that the sheeple can be lulled back into complacency.
Hopefully, when this scumbag is tried and convicted, there will never be a Howard Reed Scott IV!!!
When? VCU used to be RPI - Richmond Polytecnic Institute - an art school going back as long as I can remember, with middle class white left-wing students into art, poetry, music, writing, etc., and lots of drugs even back before my time. My college (not RPI) roomate's father was a locally famous professional Richmond water color artist who went there in the '30's who used to reminisce over his college days there. There were very few black students in attendance in the '60's before it became VCU, a state university.
“Hopefully, when this scumbag is tried and convicted, there will never be a Howard Reed Scott IV!!!”
These days if he’s over thirteen there probably already is.
I think her friend may have saved her from some torture.
She's still in a bubble. People who are responsible to conceal carry do not place themselves in situations where they'd have to even act to protect themselves. City park after midnight -- what? You think the world revolves around you? Same people who think they own the road...
Agree completely.
Personally I think people with CCW should *start* exercising their rights to be anywhere they want to be at any time - and if they have to cap a few bad guys, too bad.
Of course, this depends upon not being persecuted by the authorities for doing their jobs.
Oct 4, 2005 ... The Color of Crime, meanwhile, is based merely on lowly facts. As we shall see, prominent people are already saying that we should ignore ...

Sorry. I was thinking of another school ... VSU?
I think aculeus may be mistaking VCU for VUU (Virginia Union University), an historically black university in Richmond.
Wow. I didn't hear about that one (imagine that).
