My critique is not about the Haditha story, but about the deficiencies of this piece-—which stand, despite your defensiveness.
Then instead of Google all you have to do is peruse Free Republic. Over the past few days several threads discussed Rumsfeld's "shadow" prosecution of the Haditha Marines. Here's one that was pretty active:

The thing is, not every thread can have an introductory tutorial for people unfamiliar with a particular subject. In the case of this thread the poster, the father of one of the Marines, can offer insight unavailable elsewhere.
