Well, it’s a bit beside the point, but the GOP began killing itself some time ago. Both major parties have been losing numbers lately. Even the smallest third parties are picking up members at such a rate now it’s only a matter of time before the GOP & the Dems join the Whigs & Federalists in the list of parties that self-destructed.
