Breaking her silence on the controversy surrounding Barack Obama’s long-time pastor, Hillary Clinton said Tuesday that she would have left the congregation if her pastor behaved like Obama’s.
“He would not have been my pastor,” Clinton told reporters at a press conference in Greensburg, Pa.
“You know, we don’t have a choice when it comes to our relatives. We have a choice when it comes to our pastors and the churches we attend,” she said. “Everyone will have to decide these matters for themselves. They are obviously very personal matters … I think the choice would be clear for me.”
Though Obama has come under intense scrutiny for the anti-U.S. and racially charged sermons by Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., until now Clinton has declined to make a political point of it.
The Obama campaign blasted back that Clinton only made the statement to distract from scrutiny about her own recollection of a March 1996 trip to Bosnia.
“After originally refusing to play politics with this issue, it’s disappointing to see Hillary Clinton’s campaign sink to this low in a transparent effort to distract attention away from the story she made up about dodging sniper fire in Bosnia,” Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton said.

I believe her more than I do Hussein Obama.
She seems to be the target from conservatives but she won’t be the one running. Hussein is the greater threat to this nation.
Hillary goes to Church? Only to make speeches and collect donations. Bubba used Church as a prop for photo ops.
In order to leave a congregation, you have to be part of one. The only time Klinton and her husband go to church is when there are photographers there to shoot them, Bibles in hand, leaving the church. The VERY last word that comes to my mind when I think of those two is “Christian”. Words are cheap, actions speak louder than words.
Actually, the Rodham rodent was referring to not allowing Obama into the church of Hillary ... you know, the church that worships the beast.
In this fight, I love watching Hillary clawing out the eyes of her enemies.

Believe it or not I’m actually beginning to feel sorry for Hillary. I’m beginning to believe that Obabam is even more disingenuous than her if that’s possible.

But she’s stating something that 99 percent of Americans would agree with. Can that really be called “telling the truth”? She wouldn’t do a lot of things, an infinite variety of things, and most other people wouldn’t do them either. A pointless, typically Clintonian statement.
Gotta cut the Slickster some slack on this one. I doubt he had a clue what kind of schmuck Wright is. Besides, compared to some of the others Clinton drew to the White House Wright might actually look pretty good.
