The Plague of Planned Parenthood
Human Events ^ | 3/21/08 | Gary Bauer

We all mourn the deaths in Iraq, now approaching 4,000th Americans, in the five-year-old fight for freedom and justice in that nation. But sadly we seem oblivious to the fact that we lose approximately the same number of our fellow citizens everyday to abortion.

The plague of abortion takes one American life about every 30 seconds. But here’s a little good news on this Good Friday: Soon Congress will have the chance to limit severely the ability of this plague’s principal purveyor, Planned Parenthood, to force you to pay for its deadly deeds.

One of Planned Parenthood’s earliest initiatives, called the Negro Project, was designed to control the birth of minority babies, or “human weeds,” as Sanger called them. She once wrote in a letter, “We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population…”

Positively sick.

There are way too many Republicans in that camp, too.

More like 50 million.

The only comprehensive statistics are kept by the Alan Guttmacher Institute, which is a subsidiary of Planned Parenthood. Some states, like California, do not report statistics. Based on its size, the amount of abortions performed in CA is considerable.

Add to the 50 million another 12 million. Those are the children that would have been born to the female babies aborted from 1973- to say, 1991(and annual abortion rates were higher in those years than now). Just my estimate—these are the missing children of the children that were aborted.

The question needs to be asked of abortion advocates: How many unborn babies have to die before we get the utopian society we were promised by the feminists when “every child would be a wanted child”?

Bookmarked, thanks for the more accurate "body count". Prayers for the victims and perpetrators.

Happy Easter!

OMG! Really? How is this not something that the media covers? This is absolutely barbaric!

I've been somewhat ambivalent about the whole abortion thing, but I'm pretty consistently leaning to the anti-side. This practice is just... I don't get how people could be ok with terminating a human life in utero when they would never consider using a firearm to kill an intruder in their home.

Folks, we live in a sick, self-absorbed world. Being a single man who knows how to keep his manhood under wraps, I can't find a reasonable purpose behind love anymore if people are terminating the truest expression of love between two people. Perhaps love is dead too?

I actually remember seeing some show on TV when I was about 12 that showed the bloody limbs of an aborted fetus. Looking back, I can’t think why my mother even let me watch it, but it’s definitely had a lasting impact on me. It showed the real-life implications of this practice, and for the life of me, I can’t imagine how anyone would want to go through with it.

Having dated 3 women who admitted to having abortions, I wonder if it’s not a more common practice. And then it begs the question of whether or not the late-term practice is more widespread than we think. Many women look at the morning-after pill (how apropos a name it is) as a designated hitter, because to them, it’s just like passing a mass of cells that weren’t given the chance to turn into a life. Why... for the love of God... did you let yourself get into that position in the first place?

Happy Easter, everybody! Interesting discussion topics for the morning of the Resurrection.

There is an entire other side, deeper and darker, than what is out ‘for debate’. I believe the whole, pro-life/pro-choice arguments are a red herring to keep people from knowing the other side.

The human trafficking networks make big bucks off of women. Women are held in servitude for prostitution, they get pregnant, the fetuses are aborted for sale, then when the women lose their value, THEY end up for sale too, body parts wise.
