No one denies that Mohammed was a prophet, but a prophet of what? And what are the implications of such a recognition? And if Muslims insist that Mohammed be recognized as a prophet, are they willing to recognize Jesus as the Messiah, the Son of God?

I think we ought to ban Mosques in Christian countries until churches are built all over Saudi Arabia.

If they don't recognise him as a prophet, how can we have a church in the Saudi kingdom?

Yo Ashiqi, it's called "freedom of religion". Most people here in the US don't recognize Mohammed as a prophet, yet we allow mosques to be built out of respect for Muslim's religious freedom. You should reciprocate there in Saudi Arabia - what are you afraid of? Why are you so scared of Christianity?

A member of Saudi Arabia's Consultative Council, Abdelaziz al-Thinani, rejected the prelate's claims saying that there were no Christians among the Saudis who were all Muslims.

Bull. If that's true, why not allow churches to be built then, since according to you they will just be empty buildings? Again I ask...what are you so afraid of?

Well, Mr. Ashiqi, the US government does not officially recognize Jesus as the Son of God, Moses as the Lawgiver, Muhammed as The Prophet, or the Buddha as The Enlightened One, yet we allow Christian churches, Jewish synagogues, Islamic mosques, and Buddhist temples. It's actually quite simple. It's called freedom.

No churches should be permitted in Saudi Arabia, unless Pope Benedict XVI recognised the prophet Mohammed...

Fair enough. Then let the dynamiting of every single mosque in Italy begin immediately.

This is standard sharia law. And it will be thus wherever muslims are allowed to get their way.

No churches may be built or repaired.
No public observance of other religions is allowed.
People of other religions must where identifying clothing.
All non-muslims must pay the “jizya” tax upon demand or be beaten.

more and more paradise under the Religion of Peace.

Yeah, since we can’t drill for oil in our own country.

If there’s enough money involved in it, I’m sure the Catholic church will consider it.............

“Again I ask...what are you so afraid of?”

The followers of darkness (Satan) always fear the Light (God), for the smallest light lessen darkness, but darkness cannot overcome the smallest light. (Think in terms of: there are flashlights, but there are no darkness projecting “anti-lights.”)

The antiChrist deceiver is mentioned in the Bible.

Somehow I don’t think that will please the Saudis.

So, no Christian churches allowed in Saudi Arabia. What a surprise! And what an arrogant, illogical demand from the ever-smug Saudi hierarchy.

Who do they think they're kidding? They know full well that the Pope is never going to 'acknowledge' a false, self-anointed prophet, especially the founder of a Satanic 'religion' like Islam that stands in direct opposition to Christianity.

This is just another way for the Saudi Muslim hierarchy to spit in the eye of Christianity. Saudi Arabia is never going to be free of the monarchy or radical Islamic repression as long as they can sell oil to the west. We're not going to invade that misbegotten land to rid it of the monarchy and they certainly aren't going to stop supporting terrorism while pretending to be an 'ally' of the west, specifically, the U.S. It's a vicious cycle of pretension and duplicity, mostly from the Saudi monarchy.

Someday, we'll probably discover or develop viable alternatives to dinosaur oil and that'll be the beginning of the end for the corrupt Saudi monarchy. Until then, we're pretty much stuck tolerating this group of nincompoops masquerading as religious potentates while they insult the Pope and by association, Christianity, with their absurd demand he 'recognize' a false 'prophet' and the false prophet's satanic 'religion' that is built on a foundation of hatred for Jews and any human being on earth who doesn't bow down to Mohammad, the ersatz 'prophet'. What a self-serving, phony 'religion'. If you don't buy into Mohammad and his 'revelations', you should die at the hands of a 'religious' Muslim. Nice.

The Saudis and their oil-rich princes can have their Islam, we'll take religious freedom, thanks.

There can be no separation of mosque and state in the US when the Saudi State is funding the expansion of Islamic mosques in the US.
