But aren’t you getting tired of all these commentaries on how dissatisfied the “man on the street” is in Iran with no visible action? I think we have invested too much hope in the possibility of reform from within.
They do this every year.
The Iranian government takes names, and later on, people disappear.
This is a lot easier than violent confrontations that might escalate beyond a street demonstration.
In 2003, they demonstrated by shouting, “Bush for President”, insinuating that they wanted Bush to invade Iran and overthrow the Islamist thugs.
In China they become fresh kidneys, in Iran they become reactor shielding.
