Members of anti-American, pro-terrorist groups Code Pink, Global Exchange and others staged a riot during a press conference at the National Press Club on Friday. I attended Friday's news event as a working journalist and a member of the National Press Club
The rabble disrupted a presentation by pro-victory organization Move America Forward (MAF) of its Sedition Report that detailed hundreds of attacks on military recruiting centers across the country. Prior to the melee, former radio talk show host Melanie Morgan and MAF Chairperson listed numerous instances of violence, vandalism and intimidation including:
- Bombing of Armed Services recruiting center in New York Citys Times Square
- Barricading and vandalizing U.S. Marine Corps recruiting center in Berkeley, CA
- Occupying and vandalizing Army recruiting center in Washington, DC
- Smashing doors and windows of Army recruiting center in Minneapolis, MN
- Smashing windows, throwing smoke bombs and spreading human excrement at Army recruiting center in Milwaukee, WI
- Homemade bomb planted at Army-Air Force recruiting office in Webster Groves, MO
- Attempted firebombing of military recruiting center in Vestal, NY
- Smashing windows and spreading fecal matter in military recruiting center in Toledo, OH
- Ten cars belonging to Marine recruiters torched in Washington, DC area
Debbie Lee, mother of the first Navy SEAL killed in Iraq spoke at the press conference about honoring the sacrifice of military men and women and their families. Rep. John Carter (R-TX) discussed his sponsorship of the Semper Fi Act that would strip federal funds from Berkeley, CA because of the City Councils vote to oust Marine Corps recruiters from their downtown office, saying the Marines were "uninvited and unwelcome intruders" and giving the radical protest group Code Pink space outside the recruitment office and urging them to "impede, passively or actively" the work of Marine Corps recruiters.
Kristinn Taylor, a spokesman for FreeRepublic.com pointed out the relationship antiwar groups have to subversive organizations including InternationalANSWER and that attacks on recruiting stations are part of a larger war that anti-American groups were waging against the United States.
The conduct of the "peaceniks" at the press conference provided the best evidence of all of the violent nature of those in the antiwar movement. Violence and the supression of free speech are the tools of their trade.
And we’ll only hear about this in the blogosphere.
Which means the Sheep will never hear it - they’re too busy watching Brit, LiLo, or the latest celebrity trainwreck...
Great post of the “non-violent” protestors at work.
There are MEN who belong to Code Pink? How Gay is that?
That picture speaks volumes. Sneering face, peace sign. Mixed messages to say the least.
Has shep covered J-Lo recently?
Code Pink is funded by a man. George Soros. The women are just useful idiots. But you prolly knew that.
I stopped watching Faux News - there was no difference between them and ABCCBSCNNNBCPMSNBCBBCNPRPBS...
Three Our Father’s and three Hail Mary’s for posting that pic. Go forth and sin no more.
She might be the only woman who could actually step on her own belly button.
Only the one there is an image of - imagine the regiment of those who cracked the lens and melted the film...
Perhaps you could find something a little more meaningful than this if you want to critique Code Pink. Stuff like this detracts credence from a conservative viewpoint, it doesn’t add to it.
I didn’t think there was any worse picture than one of Helen Thomas, but you’ve broken the record.
Geez, I’m gonna have nightmares. Totally disgusting.
There’s nobody more nasty, self-righteous, arrogant and violent than those “peaceful” peaceniks.
Ping.
