Movie Review

I'm going to the movie tonight, not sure yet what I'll see but it won't be 10,000BC.

Archaeologists with both expertise and tenure tell us that the great pyramids of Giza were constructed around 2,500 BC. However, a few marginal authors and late-night radio pundits claim they go back about 12,000 years... in "10,000 BC," you'll be able to see this hypothesis writ large on the special effects canvas. This sequence alone is so oddly imposing, it's worth the price of admission. Oh, and there's something else to be gleaned from watching this ice-age epic. For those who still wonder how ancient peoples could pile up a million squared-off rocks to make Giza's famous pointy architecture, Emmerich supplies the answer: domesticated wooly mammoths!
wow... mammoths in Africa? Guess I'll have to look that up. ;') However, even that reviewer sez it's worth the price of admission. :'D

Mammoths

After reviewing the movies available and excluding the ones I've already see, it comes down to either Doomsday or 10,000 BC tonight, I'll let my dinner guest (My NZ neighbor) decide between these two.

Speaking of 10,000 BC, has anyone seen that movie yet? I could do that on Thursday, been ages since I’ve been to the theater.

I haven't but, like you, I don't do many movies either. And now that I think about it, I can't even remember the last time I was inside a theater. Weird, huh.

Neat trailers. Having a saber toothed tiger for a pal would probably have been an interesting experience...

Oops! I made the mistake of going to see Doomsday. Don't make the same mistake I did...I didn't even stay for the ending.

Mammoth told me there’d be days like this.
