Obama Church Controversy (2007 PBS interview with Wright)
PBS ^ | March 9, 2007 | Kim Lawton

Posted on 03/14/2008 5:05:49 PM PDT by pepperhead

LAWTON: Wright says he warned Obama at the beginning of his career that their relationship could have negative ramifications.

WRIGHT: They're going to associate your name with mine, and that could be detrimental, I told him back then. It holds just as true, even more so, now.

This is part of a interesting Jeremiah Wright gave in 2007. I was watching Hardball tonight and Chris mentioned a similar interview Wright gave in 2007 to a paper but I couldn't find it. So I posted this instead, but it is similar to what I heard.

Basically what we have here is Wright saying he talked to Obama in private. And they said they might have to distance themselves from each other latter on down the line. I find this interesting because now Obama is acting like he never heard some of the stuff Wright said. But if that is the case why have this conversation with Wright? Obama knew what Wright has said in the past and to act otherwise is disingenuous.

Obama has endorsed Wright as his “mentor”. Case closed.

You now I have some Liberal friends who seem normal in the normal discussions until you mention GWB, and off they go and sound just like Wright. Just read the letters to the Editors in the lefty rags - same thing.

Maybe thier right and left brains were separated at birth or thier frontal lobs never developed.

I think Obama started the campaign just to take a shot and get some notoriety, ala Sharpton. Get some ‘Legit Creds’.

However, what happenned is something even he didn’t imagine. His rhetorical style caught fire and he has likeability factor going for him and he ended up out-raising Hildabeast.

Well, if you have so much money in your coffers, you might as well spend it. Next thing you know its becoming a movement. The ‘Yes We Can’ video just blew away the kids and they became a force to reckon with.

Obama is way over his head. If he had known he would end up being taken seriously, he would have burned those bridges with Wright and Farrakhan, long time ago. If his Pastor knows what damage his words would do to him, then he should know.

This reminds me of the Episode from Cheers. Where Dr. Crane took a bet that with just RHETORIC and POLITICKING he can get WOODY elected to city council and he doesn’t have to either know anything or do anything. He won that bet, especially when during the debate with opposing candidate, his wife Kelly told him she is pregnant, and out of sheer joy he gave his opposing candidate a big hug!

Emotion, rhetoric, likeability - all you need!

I honestly believe that Obama just wanted some respect being new in Senate and this little joke has gotten out of hand.

Even EVIL Klintons got fooled and they were at first extending him same courtesy that Kerry and other extended to Al Sharpton. Everyone knew he was not a serious candidate and just a joke, but they kept straight face on and let him get his 15 minutes and creds and then eventually fizzle out. That is why Bill Klinton called Obama ‘Jesse Jackson’ after SC Primary. He didn’t realize people were starting to take this guy seriously.

Now both Dems, and Right Wing are concerned about guy named Hossein being next President. Thus the damage that Obama has caused is being undone with him being hammerred from both left and right!

Time to get back to the reservation my freind. You have ventured way too far.....

I think the Obamagism was exposed with the comments reagrding NAFTA and his 'private' remarks to the Canadians. The man is a racist, a black racist, so long as he can get political mileage from it, but he is in actuality an empty suit, anything to anyone if it will get a vote. He is a spin artist extraordinaire, otherwise I would call him the latest democrap Chauncy Gardner.

The scarry thing that this has exposed is the depth and bredth of racism in the black community! No wonder Jesse Jackasson and Al Sharptoon exploit the racist hatred in black minds! And Obamagism will get a pass and cover from the leftist media. This man Obama is not qualified to be the leader of the entire nation, but is becoming qualified to lead the democrats and especially black democrats, with his spin and deceit layer upon layer. He makes Jesse and Al and other black race baiters look like amateurs.

People can get a lot of emotional satisfaction out of being angry at something. Ranting and raving is a high for them.
