Recent media reports have focused on the different treatment Warren Buffett and Hank Greenberg have received as the two parties to the same transaction.

Warren Buffett is a liberal who generally supports Democrats whereas Hank Greenberg was a big donor to the Republican Party. On his way to the Democrat nomination for Governor, Spitzer didn't go after Democrats.

For example, he never went after Carl McCall who was involved in approving Grasso's salary package. He never went after Sandy Weill, who was up to his ears in Citibank shenanigans.

The unequal treatment of Buffett and Greenberg just fits the pattern.
