I think these results are for Kane County only, I will check for other counties. I think Oberweis needs to do better than this in Kane County. But Foster lives in Geneva

Not good news from Dekalb County, he’s getting beat by 13% with nearly half the precincts in, I know Northern Illinois U is part of it but he should keep this county close.

I’m surprised that the Secretary of State’s office isn’t posting the official results.

Man it's not looking good. I sure hope Obie pulls this off. Just when I think things couldn't get any worse in Illinois, both Hastert AND Weller's seats "in play" for the Dems (and ironically, Ray LaHood supposedly "swing" seat is proving to be as safe as it gets). So in theory the Illinois delegation could go from 10-9 Republican in 2000, to 10-9 Democrat in 2004, to 12-7 Democrat in 2008. Ugh. If the meltdown gets any worse they'll have every district in this state by 2020.

If Obie managers to lose a 60%+ registered Republican district, home to Ronald Reagan's boyhood town and designed to elect just about any "R" with a pulse, what will all his supporters say who DEMANDED we select this guy in 2006 because supposedly he was the "only" conservative who could take out Topinka and then "beat Blago"

I never understood why Obie has such a die-hard fan club in Illinois. He'd make a good party chair but I haven't supported him in any primary, and with good reason.

The mere fact that the ICRC doesn't support him is reason enough for me to get behind the man. Those creeps are the boneheads who foisted JBT and Alan Keyes on us.

Half of 'em belong in prison right next to George Ryan.

“FROM OBERWEIS HQ: Foster is winning 2-1 in Aurora and holds a slight lead in Kane and about 600 votes overall. But the Oberweis staffers here are optimistic that their votes are still coming in because none of the Republican western counties are reporting yet.”

He is only holding steady, down 3,700 votes. He has to start cutting into that margin significantly.
