I think you’re right. For whatever reason, he was in a lot of pain, and felt his classmates were somehow the cause of it. But yes, at least he didn’t want to physically hurt anyone else.

At least he didn’t take anyone with him. Bears repeating. I've always said, if you just have to go crazy with a gun, shoot yourself first, and then if you still feel like shooting others, knock yourself out.

Two jocks in my graduating class pulled a cruel hoax on a drunk classmate at a party.
The classmate committed suicide the next day. And the two jokers followed within 5 years.
Very sad.

I’m sure most have seen worse on TV - probably not and that is part of the problem, on TV it is too clean. If after a shooting or murder on TV they actually showed the blood and carnage, it may teach a lesson.
