restaurant is open as usual after the owner shot two armed robbers who broke into the business last night. In an unusual twist, both robbers had guns, but neither was loaded.
News On 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright reports detectives say the 16-year-old suspect was carrying a Colt .22 revolver and had bullets in his pocket, but not in the gun.
The 14-year-old was carrying a Ruger .45 revolver that was also empty.
It's baffling they would take unloaded guns into a robbery, knowing full well they could encounter someone with a loaded gun and that's exactly what happened.

Probably to bad they survived.
Next time their guns will be loaded.

nothing should be baffling when it’s a 14 year old doing it
Never bring an empty gun to a gun fight.
Once again proving the age old adage _ “There’s nothing more dangerous than an unloaded gun”.
The police have dealt with these two before, so it is a shame that the owner didn’t make better kill shots. These two are in the criminal education system now, for sure, and they will be more violent when they ‘graduate’.
The sad thing is that since both of the perps survived, when they get out they will have learned to load up and enter shooting. I’ll give 100 to 1 odds that one of these two, if not both, will kill someone before they reach the age of 30.
First rule of gang- "I don't know,...... %*!$ you looking at?"
Second rule of gang- make sure little dude don't class you.
Third rule of gang- take a few words out of every sentence, add a couple double-wide verbs, and you're thug.
I think it is idiotic the media keeps bring up “the shooter had a valid permit” - that BS. It’s no one’s BUSINESS if the owner of the property had a “valid permit”.
Not only that, but the scars will be badges of honor for the younger kids to admire.
I wonder if they had any cartridges, or if they just had the bullets.
