Next on school agenda: Teaching communism

A new plan by a California lawmaker would allow schools to be used to promote the overthrow of the U.S. government, and let teachers in public district classrooms "inculcate in the mind of any pupil a preference for communism," according to a traditional values advocacy organization.

"Just when we thought the indoctrination in California's public schools couldn't get any worse, state lawmakers introduce bills that will further brainwash innocent children," said a statement from Capitol Resource Institute, a traditional values and family advocacy organization based in California.

"We're in California. Of course it has a chance of succeeding," CRI spokeswoman Karen England told WND. "These people get bolder and bolder every year."

Her organization, along with several others, already has been battling over lawmakers' orders, already placed in law, that public schools in the state teach nothing but positive messages about homosexuality, transsexuality, bisexuality and other alternative lifestyles.

Those plans are being challenged in court, by citizens' attempts to place the issue on the 2008 election ballot and by family advocates who say the best option is for families to abandon public schools for private schools or other alternatives.

Now comes the plan, SB 1322, from state Sen. Alan Lowenthal, a Democrat elected from the state's 27th District, including the towns of Artesia, Avalon, Bellflower, Cerritos, Downey, Lakewood, Long Beach, Lynwood, Paramount, Signal Hill, South Gate and others.

"This bill would actually allow the promotion of communism in public schools," CRI said.

That's because the state's Civic Center Act already requires a school district to grant the use of school property, when an alternative isn't available, to nonprofit groups, clubs or associations set up for youth and school activities.

Considering the fact that two Marxists are battling it out for the Democratic nomination, this isn’t really shocking.

Considering the fact that three Soros paid for Marxists are battling it out for the nomination, this isn’t really shocking.

If this type of propaganda bullsh*t were mandated to be taught in MY school district’s classrooms, there would be HELL to pay! I would not “go quietly into that good night” as most of the liberal “sheeple” tend to do. I would pull up my bootstraps and FIGHT to prevent this abomination from taking hold and completing the transition of our schools into full re-education camps...

I have a daughter and son in the public indoctrination camp “school” in Massachusetts, I have a daughter attending a state college. I arm them with facts and they go to school and confront their socialist teachers and professors, doesn’t help their grades, but it does a lot for their self confidence and their realization that these people are ignorant.

From the article:

“This bill would actually allow the promotion of communism in public schools,” CRI said.

That’s because the state’s Civic Center Act already requires a school district to grant the use of school property, when an alternative isn’t available, to nonprofit groups, clubs or associations set up for youth and school activities.

“But the law also states that the property may not be used by anyone intent on overthrowing the government,” CRI said. Now, the group said, “SB 1322 would delete the requirement that an individual or organization wanting to use the school property is not a Communist action organization or Communist front organization.

“This bill would also strike the law that a public school or community college employee may be fired if he or she is a member of the Communist Party,” the group said.

Worse yet, the group said, “the bill would also strike the law that prohibits a teacher giving instruction in a school or on public school property from teaching communism with the intent to indoctrinate or to inculcate in the mind of any pupil a preference for communism,” CRI said.

“SB 1322 is simply shocking,” said Meredith Turney, legislative liaison for the affiliated Capitol Resource Family Impact. “The socialist members of the legislature are now advocating that communism, one of the most brutal forms of government in history, be taught favorably to government school students. Anyone espousing communism, which does advocate for the violent overthrow of existing government, will be permitted to not only use government property, but work in schools and colleges, and teach their freedom-hating propaganda to impressionable young people.”

“Less than 20 years after the fall of the communist Soviet Union, California lawmakers are eager to once again begin advancing a political ideology responsible for the deaths of millions of innocent people,” England said. “Instead of promoting communism in our schools, lawmakers should be focused on actually teaching students to read, write and think for themselves.”

This **will** make its way into your child’s school.

California is one of the largest purchasers of textbooks. What California wants is what all schools in the U.S. eventually get to some degree.

In my opinion, it is a lot of work to be good parent of a government schooled child. It is **more** work than simply homeschooling.

To effectively deprogram a child, a parent would need to read every government school textbook, check all syllabuses, and read all assigned literature, and discuss with the child every night what was talked about in class. Not only would the parent need to read their own child’s literature but also all the books on the reading lists. The other children are reading these other books on the reading lists. These books are discussed among the children and in class.

Also,,,once the child is “deprogrammed”, the parent would then need to find, buy, or get from the library, reading material that actually teaches sound principles.

I have a question for “good” teachers ( Christian and non-Christian).

Where is the line?

At what point are government schools sooooo evil that working in one is impossible?

At what point are government schools so evil that to continue to be a “good” teacher and not an evil one will mean abandoning the government school and working to open private schools?

At what point will government schools be so evil that “good” teachers will join with others to organize a MASSIVE school tax revolt that will shut these indoctrination camps down permanently?

I honestly think that for too many “good” teachers there is no line.

Honestly, I think that too many “good” teachers ( Christian and non-Christian) would work for the SS brown shirts in exchange for a pay check and pension. Too many would bow down and worship Moloch if a principal asked them to do it.

And,,,government teachers expect the rest of us to respect them?

Actually, Communism is a great idea... as long as you don't mind denying human emotional drives, vastly decreasing productivity, and giving the responsibility for "fair" distribution to someone else.

Really, Communism does work, every day, even in this country... but only at the family level. One or two productive people share their resources so that everyone gets approximately the same benefits, and so that everyone's needs are met as well as they can be. They do it out of love.

However, when you try to use the force of government to force every citizen to show as much love for some ne'er-do-well 1000 miles away as they do for their own child, well, you're going to run into trouble. Then, when you turn over the entire resources of a nation to a central authority, the opportunity for massive displays of favoritism and corruption (and worse, usually) is inescapable.

But otherwise, it's a really, really nice idea! We should all share and play nice and want to help everyone get their needs met! Unfortunately for the Utopia-minded, in practice on larger scales, it's an abysmal failure, and will always be... unless you change human nature itself, including love, pride, self-interest, and that pesky little "power-corrupts" thing.

“there’s probably some common ground on this one.”

Yes, there most certainly is. MOVE OUT! If you stay in communist California, your property taxes still support this madness.

The only way that we save America is to take it back - one town after another. Civil disobedience worked for the civil rights movement. It’s time to take back America.

There are two cities that a Conservative town should be modeled on - Kennesaw, GA (every resident is required to have a firearm and ammunition) and Stafford, TX (no property taxes).

Where, when and how?

fascism of forced car insurance,

You're free not to pay car insurance. Simply don't put your car on the road where it might impact mine. I've had two accidents in my lifetime, in both instances, my car was savaged by some stupid @#$%ing @#$hole who didn't have insurance.

Don't want to pay for insurance, keep it on your Ted Turner 40,000 acre farm. The moment you drive it on public roads paid for by public funds, pay for insurance. It's a fairly simply concept.

If this is the case then how can they be considered good teachers?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Bingo!

Perhaps we should stop thinking of government teachers as being “good”.

When a government teacher claims to be one of the “good” teachers ( deserving of the Mother Teresa Award for self sacrifice, of course), we should start asking some tough questions. Asking, “Where is YOUR line?” should be one of those questions.

“Would you bow down and worship Satan, if your principal aske you?”

“Would you work for the SS, KGB, or Stassi, if you superintendant insisted?”

” Where is the line? At what point would you quit, open private schools, and rescue as many children as possible?”

Hm?...”If SB 777 is enough of a line, then what on earth is???!!If SB 1322 isn’t, they what **IS**???!! “”
