The Prince and The Taliban - Afghan militants claim they knew English royalty was in their midst
Newsweek ^ | 3/1/08 | Sami Yousafzai and Stryker McGuire

Despite the british government's concerted effort to preserve the secret, a veteran Taliban field officer claims he was scarcely surprised by the disclosure that Prince Harry was serving with Britain's troops in southern Afghanistan. Fearing that insurgents would specifically target Cornet Wales (the prince's military title) and his fellow soldiers if his presence in the battle zone were publicly revealed, the top British brass did everything possible to prevent leaks about his deployment on Dec. 14 to Helmand province. But talking to newsweek via satellite phone from that region last week, deputy commander Mullah Abdul Karim recalled getting an urgent message from Taliban intelligence in late December or early January that "an important chicken" had joined British troops in his area of operations. Karim promptly sent his men hunting for the prince. "He is our special enemy," says Karim. "Our first option was to capture him as a prisoner, and the second, to kill him."

In a nation that is accepting Sharia law, it is not surprising that a Muslim traitor would let the terrorists know that the Prince was in theater.

So Newsweak has the phone number of a Taliban satellite phone (or vice versa)?

I don't suppose it occurred to them that the good guys might want that info.

Nah. To Newseak the Taliban are the good guys.

How do you know a muslim is lying?

If he is speaking to an infidel(you and me for the uninformed), his lips are moving.

That was my thought. If Newsweek can just call the Taliban up, why not help OUR side with a little 411? Unless they aren’t on OUR side.

The Prince of Wales has respect for the religion of Islam.

He is, in no way, shape or form, a friend of terrorists.

His goodfather, the man he regarded as his honourary Grandfather, Louis Mountbatten, 1st Earl Mountbatten of Burma, was blown apart by terrorists in 1979. Terrorists who called themselves Catholics, who called themselves Christians.

“recalled getting an urgent message from Taliban intelligence in late December or early January that “an important chicken” had joined British troops in his area of operations.”

-

So are any of the “Taliban intelligence” agents’s sources for that information,... liberal journalists?

In a nation that is accepting Sharia law

Do you mean Texas?

The UK is not accepting Shariah law. The Archbishop of Canterbury was universally condemned when he suggested as much. And - here's the thing - he was also condemned by UK Muslim groups.

What makes you think we were not listening... with a little luck the next time Mullah Abdul powers up his sat phone there will be a Predator triangulating on him for a “personal message”. We really do like to “reach out and touch someone”, especially loudmouth Taliban assholes. Thanks Newsweek for the intel. But don’t worry we won’t mention you when the press release goes out. It will be our little secret.
