LOS ANGELES Hillary Clinton is right.
She gets the first question more often than Obama, and usually the toughest ones. Then again, as everyone was very, very quick to point out after Tuesdays debate, she also jumps for it first when its a toss-up.
Of course they did the count right away. When it comes to Hillary Clinton, theres no doubt that, whether its the first or second question, her response is likely to be subject to strict scrutiny, which, as we say in the law, tends to be strict in theory and fatal in fact, while her opponent gets judged by a sort of rational basis test that means if there's any conceivable version of what he's saying that makes sense, he gets a pass. And a pillow, as she joked in the debate Tuesday night, to make sure he's comfortable, although when Hillary tells a joke, she's more likely to be dissed as nasty and sarcastic than praised for her efforts at good humor.
As Jimmy Carter so famously said, lifes not fair. And if lifes not fair, politics isnt even close.

It was NOT Jimmy Carter who said like wasn’t fair, IT WAS JFK. Life wasn’t fair to him, either.

As much as I don’t like the Hildebeast, I’ve got to admit her bit in RI about “...and the heavenly host will sing, and a light will come down from on high and everything will be...”
Was some of the best sarcastic humor that I’ve heard in a long time...skewered Che’ Obama with it..

And Hillary is just as skanky. Are Dem women ugly, or what? Their men are pretty dorky, too.
To: NCDragon
Politics is where ugly women like Susan (who have a 3 pack-a-day cigarette voice) can still get on television.

Exactly. That’s why government should be small, Susan.

AWWWWWWWwwwwww.
Poor widdle Hillary. Das bein' mean to her -- askin' her questions.
[Susan apparently didn't watch any of the CNN broadcast debates. None of the CNN questions were tough on Hillary.]

Susan, what a crock. In comedy, timing is everything. Clinton's joke didn't fit in at the time she said it; thus it and its timing was off. That is why it fell flat.

She gets the first question more often than Obama, and usually the toughest ones.I would think that you'd want to get the first question in a debate. You get to frame the discussion, plus you get to talk longer. These are good things. Why is this something to complain about?

Hillary should be the last one to claim it's all unfair considering she helped start the biggest smear web sites on the net.
In the end, that's going to be hard to do, for on August 4, while speaking at the YearlyKos convention in Chicago, the junior senator from New York boasted of "institutions that I helped to start and support like Media Matters and Center for American Progress."

Having to listen to whiny Susan Estrich is not fair. Every time I hear her, I am reminded of the old SNL skit about the Whiner family.

I would think that you'd want to get the first question in a debate. You get to frame the discussion, plus you get to talk longer. These are good things. Why is this something to complain about? Because liberals need a moment to think how people "feel" on an issue and dream up an appropriate answer to those feelings.
When you are devoid of beliefs this is your only choice.

Very astute observation. The “Castrati”, as Rush calls it.
To: NCDragon
Look, for years the Clintons have been heavy handed in demanding support and funding from everything democrat.
They have ruined many to put their supporters in positions that ultimately favor them.
After beating the dog for years the dog is finally turning and biting them and I hope it is a good bite. I hope it hurts and I hope Mrs/ Clinton never recovers from the hurt.
As for Bill, thank GOD he won’t be able ot resurrect his pathetic record as president.
The pervert and his enabler deserve jail for countless times breaking the law.
HOw about releasing your records Hill, and about those tax returns?
