Cleveland, OH (LifeNews.com) -- Senator Barack Obama debated his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton on Tuesday night and said his biggest mistake was voting to help save Terri Schiavo. Terri is the disabled Florida woman whose husband won the legal right to starve her to death.

How sweet.
And how about when Russert immediately bailed Hilary out and told her the name of Putin's successor?
Actually Mr.O the congree did the right thing in standing up to protect an innocent citizen from the clutches of evil-intent individuals with legal sanction. It was the judicial system that arrogantly ignored the congress and proceeded to railroad to death poor Terry Schiavo.
and he expects us to think he’s not a liberal
woulda coulda shoulda...
I would like to see how much he would denounce and reject Farrakhan if he only had the opportunity to do so.
He and she don’t CARE what you think. They are Socialists who know what is best for your future, comrade.
He had the opportunity to denounce FarraKKKhan’s support.
He said he would. That’s nice. When is that going to happen?

ping!
If he does, he might want to hire a few extra body guards to watch his back.
They did not like it when Malcom renounced.
He’s being consistent. He doesn’t believe babies fortunate enough to survive a murder attempt by an abortion doctor deserve protection. Why not go after the handicapped next?
Catholics - please take note.
he looked flustered by the question and gave in.
Hillary was a little silly when she said she took a risk by rejecting the endorsement of the Independence Party. She sure looked like she supported Suha Arafat.
What would Obama do? Obama, who declines to wear American flag lapel pin and can not bring himself to honor National Anthem? When that news started to generate some negative publicity, he proclaims that he disagrees with that particular decision. That’s it. Did not quit, nothing.
If, for example, MacCain’s church decided to go lilly-white racial and also awarded its highest award to a local Grand Wizard, 1) McCain quit that church immediately and 2) McCain, a war hero, would be harassed incessantly by the MSM nevertheless till the end of his political career. Entire Republican party will be denounced, too.
Obama is tough, he weathered such vicious attacks during primaries.../sarc
Poor Barack. His greatest regret is that in his innocent youth he lacked a full and complete commitment to the full implementation of National Socialism.
So in other words. He would denounce a white racist antisemite if he had to, but since he doesn’t have to...
Don’t ask don’t tell.

I’ve never encountered another individual who I liked more on a personal impression basis and hated more for his positions on morals issues. Take the others, say like Nancy Pelousi, Kerry, or Ted Kennedy — I can’t stand them personally either.
G-d help us!
I’m going to stick to my love of Jesus Christ. I’m really not a good political watcher.
But I’m telling you, I saw this same let me have it your way spirit in Deval Patrick.
It reminds of these verses
23Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
24For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
We are entering the last act my friend. I’m not saying that the Obama Nation is the last act. I’m just saying that we are entering the last act.
That’s my story and I’m stickin to it.
Yes, as you may know from other threads, I don’t disagree with that interpretation.
And I don’t mean “hate” in the Biblical sense, but I do find his positions terribly repulsive.
I do not believe that is correct.
I do not believe from what I heard (or what his track record indicates) that he voted in favor of Terri Schiavo. After all, look at this:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1975783/posts
I believe that he actually said that his regret is that he did not lead on the floor and use procedural technicalities, in order to stop Congress from trying to help Terri Schiavo.
Maybe we should both listen again.
Yup, and I agree. Congress should not have gotten involved. Here’s the transcript:
RUSSERT: Senator Obama, any statements or vote you’d like to take back?
OBAMA: Well, you know, when I first arrived in the Senate that first year, we had a situation surrounding Terri Schiavo. And I remember how we adjourned with a unanimous agreement that eventually allowed Congress to interject itself into that decision making process of the families.
It wasn’t something I was comfortable with, but it was not something that I stood on the floor and stopped. And I think that was a mistake, and I think the American people understood that that was a mistake. And as a constitutional law professor, I knew better.
And so that’s an example I think of where inaction...
RUSSERT: This is the young woman with the feeding tube...
OBAMA: That’s exactly right.
RUSSERT: ... and the family disagreed as to whether it should be removed or not.
OBAMA: And I think that’s an example of inaction, and sometimes that can be as costly as action.
Yeah that wasn’t adding up to me at all. No sale.
Did anyone catch his line, “Exxon-Mobil made $11 BIL last year. It’s not going to be easy taking back some of the profit.” (Something like that.)
Just showing his true colors. Bastard.
The United States Constitution was signed in 1789, but the United States Charter was signed in 1776. It properly observes that our United States owes observance to the Laws of Nature and Nature’s God — and to our Creator endowed Right to Life.
If Congress has no place to protect the Right to Life, it has no foundation.
Did you pay attention to the debate? He denounced Farahkan.
and I applaud Obama on his new opinion Congress’s role in the Schiavo case, which is based on constitutional law.
If he denounced Farrakhan, he better watch his back. Malcolm X didn’t make out so well after doing that.
Farrakhan has called him the next black messiah. Does he denounce that too?
Farrakhan does not just throw out endorsements. He vets his candidates.
He did denounce Farrakhan — after he was forced to by Farrakhan’s controversial endorsement. How timely, considering his church’s Trumpet magazine gave Farrakhan a lifetime achievement award — last November.
I just noticed the TUCC.org web site has no link or reference to Trumpet magazine — and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright is retiring in early March.
How convenient.
What constitution? Obviously not The United States Constitution. It has protections for people against what was done to Terri Schiavo. Failure to recognize her rights does not make her government imposed murder magically constitutional.
“and he expects us to think hes not a liberal”
obama is counting on suckers, fools and a protective media that hides his liberalism for his victory.
see my tagline.
also note that hillary simply could not respond to his answer “why yes, you really are a super liberal and here’s why...”
The idea that keeping seriously ill people alive was against the basic principles of nature, paved the way for the ultimate euthanasia program: the genocide of the Jewish people.
This is why I continue to call the Democrats "DemonRATs."
I know Obama leans towards Marxism, but I also wonder if he was cast in the mold of Adolph Hitler. Something in this man’s gaze scares the hell out of me ... I cannot put my finger on what that quality is, but it sure gives me the creeps. Something wicked this way comes.
Ever read the 14th Amendment?
Obama should just be called Mr. Death. He is a real monster. He didn’t vote for babies surviving abortions to be given help and now Euthanasia is his main concern.
Exactly.
May I assume you include Bishop Robert Lynch? Frankly, I am bewildered by the anti-Catholic weakness of many in the church hierarchy, from the Pope to the Bishops.
Barack Hussein Obama's regret that he did not object to saving Terri Schiavo should come as no surprise to those familiar with the warped thinking of liberals. He also objects (from what I've read) of giving any medical assistance to babies who survive despite abortion attempts.
Am I crazy or is this monstrous?
As bad as that is, the Catholic Church should be held to higher standards. One they teach and insist upon is: Thou shalt not kill. Yet a bishop sat by and did nothing while an innocent woman was put to death in Florida.
Why was he not defrocked by the Pope? Umm.
Gotta love these demorat debates. Shows what goof balls they really are.
1. He's unwilling to protect vulnerable newborns. He voted against an Illinois bill to protect babies born alive during abortions.
2. He's unwilling to protect vulnerable patients. He thinks it is okay for a philandering husband to kill his wife after (finally) getting a relative to tell stories that she wanted to be starved to death.
3. He's unwilling to protect vulnerable Iraqis and Americans.
He said that, as president, he could conceivably decide to withdraw troops from Iraq and then decide to re-invade Iraq.
Re-invasions are messy.
30,000 Americans died in 30 months because Truman sent US troops to re-invade Korea in 1950. Most likely, the Korean War would not have started in 1950, if Truman would have kept the troops in S. Korea in 1949.
Let's not abandon Iraq the way we abandoned S. Korea.
Yep, if one thing is certain, things are definitely beginning to wrap up.
When in the Course of human Events, it becomes necessary for one People to dissolve the Political Bands whivh have connected them with one another....they should declare the causes which impel them to Separation.
We hold these Truths to be self-evident,

That to secure these Rights, Governments are instituted among Men....
