I read on one of my threads that the NIU shooter was taking Prozac. Ah, that was just one of three he was taking prior to the shooting. He had been prescribed Xanax, Ambien and Prozac. According to his exgirlfriend, he abruptly stopped taking them sometime prior to the shooting.

He had been prescribed Xanax, Ambien and Prozac. The gunman who killed five students and then himself at Northern Illinois University took an anti-anxiety drug and a sleeping aid in addition to the antidepressant Prozac, his girlfriend told CNN. Earlier the woman, Jessica Baty, told the news network that the gunman, Steven P. Kazmierczak, stopped taking Prozac three weeks before he entered a university lecture hall and opened fire. On Wednesday, CNN reported that in a follow-up conversation, Ms. Baty said he also took Xanax and Ambien, at least occasionally.
I checked a number of other sources. All refer to the original CNN story. Thanks again, suijuris!
