Actually, that gun grabber was quite proud of his idea. But it did illustrate the fact that most gun grabbers do believe that there is no reason for a rational person to own a gun. Therefore, any one who wants to own one is mentally ill.

I recall a proposal from a while ago to require that a person applying for a CCW must have a certificate from an MD showing he has no physical or mental condition that would make it unsafe for him to carry.

Now, how many MDs would you think would take on the liability of certifying somebody as OK to carry, and how much do you think they would charge for the examination?

The gunman who killed five students and then himself at Northern Illinois University took an anti-anxiety drug and a sleeping aid in addition to the antidepressant Prozac, his girlfriend told CNN. Earlier the woman, Jessica Baty, told the news network that the gunman, Steven P. Kazmierczak, stopped taking Prozac three weeks before he entered a university lecture hall and opened fire. On Wednesday, CNN reported that in a follow-up conversation, Ms. Baty said he also took Xanax and Ambien, at least occasionally.

Remember that to a liberal all non liberals are mentally ill. Who defines mentally ill? Such broad definitions opens a Pandora’s box and I am sorry to see the Bush administration fall into these feel good measures that restrict our rights. But the elites can’t help themselves, anything that guarantees their status is what they are for. Another issue besides immigration in which they are on the wrong side.

Mental illness? School shootings were unheard of until the last ten years or so. I guess chemical imbalances in human beings just didn't exist before that.
