A New Muslim Nation in Europe?

Kosovo, a former province of Serbia, caused international furor when it declared its independence this week.

While the world community works out the international implications of Kosovo's independence, others are worried about a Muslim-majority state in Europe. The creation of a such a state raises fears of a radical Islamic state that would persecute Christians and become a base for terrorism.

Christians Targeted for Almost a Decade

Since 1999, the Orthodox Christian Serb minority has been attacked by the Albanian Muslim population.

In 2004, Muslim mobs, angry at the murder of three ethnic Albanians, attacked Serb enclaves, destroying hundreds of churches and monasteries.

"However, some terrorism experts believe Islamic states like Saudi Arabia want to export their strict brand of Wahhabi Islam to Kosovo.

They warn that Kosovo's moderate Muslims, angry at high unemployment, organized crime, and drug smuggling, would welcome a Taliban-type rule.

Prior to this week's declaration, John Bolton, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, told Russian television that Kosovo is a potential target for takeover by radical jihadists.

"I think it's very risky if it's granted recognition by the U.S. and other European countries," Bolton told the Russian interviewer. "I don't think it is economically viable. I think its instability risks attracting Islamic extremists from around the world."

To consider Yugoslavia “Europe” is somewhat of a stretch. Even accepting that in the 21st century, the concept of “continents” is simply a historical curiosity...

Islam is a cancer. It is wicked, filthy, vile, disgusting. There is nothing any of the so called “peaceful” islamists can ever tell me that would make it different. They can talk all they want, actions by their bretheren tell me a different story.

Don’t worry, I am sure President Bush will oppose US recognition of the Islamic Republic of Kosovo.

huh? “Yugoslavia” lay between Italy and Greece. What continent do you propose that it should be labeled under? True, a continent is more of a political or cultural concept geographically, Europe could be considerd a peninsula of Asia.

Yep.

Also in the article:

“Russia and China have joined Serbia in protesting Kosovo’s independence to the United Nations.

They say the declaration violates international law.”

Actually, it does violate international law, at least according to the UN.

A new Muslim nation in Europe? Yes, thanks to the dumbass Clinton administration who sided against Serbia, an American and Allied WWII ally, and on the side of those who fought them and served in Nazi units who now serve the purposes of spreading violent Islam throughout Europe, who traffic in trade with terrorists, and who openly endorse Islamic terrorists’ global ambitions. Saudi Arabia, the vile and filthy nest and black heart of global Islamic terrorism, has pumped vast money, resources, and indoctrination into poverty stricken, illiterate, war torn areas of the world, including Kosovo, in order to plant the seeds of genocidal Wahabism against the infidel with the cooperation of suicidally stupid, politically correct idiots in the EU and the UN, and unfortunately the US.

Kosovo is the first anchor in Europe, violent Islam has achieved in its goal of forced conversion and conquest made possible by the ignorance, stupidity, and naivete of contemporary western governments that have forgotten what the face of war looks like and the consequences of allowing madmen and murderers to exist and flourish among them while pursuing lofty goals of lecturing the victims of such about “civility” and “social justice”. Hitler indeed is back and he’s wearing a head scarf instead of a swastika.

You’re correct.

The concept of geography defines national relations and mutual interests between nations is “less” significant than ever before. Japan is our largest economic trading partner. The Middle East, Caucasus, North Africa and China are our long term center of gravities in security concerns....... Belarus is not Poland’s friend, the US is. Australia is culturally more like us than any other nation, while Cuba 90 miles south of us might as well be Mars. The notion that mere proximity defines economic relations, cultural similarities, and who friend and foe are, is complete nonsense. India is actually culturally similar to us, more so than most Latin American nations/societies……. Geography matters, but not in the way people think.
