How expensive is illegal immigration for the U.S.?
The answer may depend on who you ask.
Some argue that, overall, illegal immigrants help our economy while others insist their presence creates a fiscal deficit in the billions.
Recently, Action 4 News gained exclusive access and insight on the costs of detaining and deporting illegal immigrants.
It is just after 4 a.m.
But already the nation's largest detention center for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (or ICE) in Raymondville, Texas is bustling with activity.
The crew has been preparing for hours to deport a group of 132 Hondurans to their country.
Before leaving, the detainees are allowed to change back into the clothes they came here with.
Then they are sent from their dorms to a holding cell.
Forget the plane. Ship them back on a leaky boat.

I don’t know why we can’t buy a small strip in southern MX and get a two-fer. The flyboys can practice touch & goes
and drop the palletized crimaliens out the back.
Step 1 - Feed them greasy food.
Step 2 - Load them into a C-130/141/17 cargo plane with no seating; only seat belts attached to the floor. No seat padding.
Step 3 - Make sure the aircraft is at least 30 degrees too hot or too cold.
Step 4 - Tell the Air Force they are to fly nap-of-the-earth over every hilltop, mountaintop, ridgetop, bumptop, valley, depression, and gully between here and their home country. Nap-of-the-earth is where the aircraft flies as low as it can to avoid radar (and to let the pilots do neat s***). It is guaranteed to turn the aircraft into the proverbial “vomit comet.”
Step 5 - Tell the Air Force to take the most scenic route (meaning the long way home) they can find.
If the liberals whine then point out to them that that’s exactly what our airborne troops go through on a drop mission (except the sitting on the floor part). If it’s good enough for our boys how can it be too bad for illegals.
Yeee-hah....
Remember the Berlin Airlift?...Can’t we scrounge around the world and dig up 50 or so C-47’s to ferry them all back to South Whatever?
Whatever the cost, it’s cheaper than letting them stay.
If the plane doesn’t land and there’s no parachutes provided then it won’t cost that much and will severely curtail repeat offenders.

Pass laws like Arizona and Oklahoma have, and they’ll “self-deport” at zero cost to the taxpayer!
Shoot, I’d love to see a border fence so effective they’d have to hire a “coyote” to smuggle them OUT of the country!
We’ve had a number of illegals hit by cars and killed here in the DC area. I have inside info that a number of them were shipped home ($10,000 each) at the expense of county tax payers.
Pretend that we can’t speak spanish and just drop them over the Mexican border.
If they return, give them a hearing through which they can try and prove they were forced to return. If they can't provide a solid affirmative defense, execute them.
Cattle cars would not be the PR move.
for every nation from which we have significant illegal immigration
we should demand indemnification of $2mil per person which will be claimed, by our government, for everyone of their nationals we deport for being here illegally
or all travel and legal immigration from that nation to the us will be halted
