A convert to Islam stands an election victory away from becoming the second Muslim elected to Congress and a role model for a faith community seeking to make its mark in national politics.
Political newcomer Andre Carson is the Democratic nominee in a March 11 special election to succeed his late grandmother, Julia Carson, representing Indiana's 7th District. She died in December of lung cancer, and her grandson is seeking to fill out the rest of her sixth term, which expires at year's end.
If Andre Carson wins the Democratic-leaning Indianapolis district over a freshman Republican legislator and a long shot Libertarian candidate, he would join Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn., as the only Muslims elected to Congress.

Perhaps he would do better by explaining where he and others of his faith have been opposing and combating those who belong to their religion and engage in beheading, suicide attacks, hijackings, female mutilation and the rest of the oppressive actions of Al Qaeda, Taliban, Hamas and such.
That is the only “explanation” I’d be receptive to.

He converted to Islam more than a decade ago and began attending prayers at Nur-Allah Islamic Center, a predominantly African-American Sunni mosque. "For me, what appealed to me about Islam was the universal aspect of Islam," Carson said. "All faiths teach universality. But with Islam, I saw it regularly in the (mosques), the praying, the different races."

I know every generation has folks like me, but...I dunno, it just seems different.I don't think that you're being overly paranoid or reactionary at all. A number of things that are going on these days trouble me more acutely than I have been in a very long time. As an example, the popularity of B. Hussein Obama reminds me of Jimmuh Carter's campaign. During those times, women in particular were overjoyed by him, and would talk endlessly about his 'beautiful smile' and 'down to earth manner' and how 'friendly' he seemed....never any comments on his substance, or lack thereof.. Obama appears to have the black and much of the women's vote locked down over his appearance and his vacuous, grand-sounding but ultimately empty speeches. And women are 'fainting' for him, either as a campaign ploy or as real hysteria.....or both.

Author sees Islam's 20-year plan for U.S. 1.Terminate America's freedom of speech by replacing it with statewide and nationwide hate-crime bills.
4. Nominate Muslim sympathizers to political office to bring about favorable legislation toward Islam and support potential sympathizers by block voting.
8. Encourage Muslims to penetrate the White House, specifically with Islamists who can articulate a marvelous and peaceful picture of Islam. Acquire government positions and get membership in local school boards. Train Muslims as medical doctors to dominate the medical field, research and pharmaceutical companies. (Ever notice how numerous Muslim doctors in America are, when their countries need them more desperately than America?) Take over the computer industry. Establish Middle Eastern restaurants throughout the U.S. to connect planners of Islamization in a discreet way.
19. Send intimidating messages and messengers to the outspoken individuals who are critical of Islam and seek to eliminate them by hook or crook.
There are twenty total, and they have achieved ALL twenty of them!

It is different, because kids have been taught moral relativism and to either hate their own country/be ignorant of their own country.
Our parents ,many of us, and our grandparents wouldn’t stand for this kind of sh1t. The younger kids are taught to despise nationalism, patriotism, pride and individualism, and that everything is okay. If the shift happens, it’s just a reflection of society’s changing morals, which are relative. ‘roll with it’ or be called intolerant, fined, jailed or worse.

In my work, I deal with teenage kids who strongly believe in things which simply are not true.
THAT is why I sometimes suspect I'm just being alarmist.
Then again, I work in Cambridge, MA and live in Boston, so I'm in the enemy camp, surrounded by lunatics. That's why I don't always trust my judgment.
I've seriously considered moving to another state that's not so liberal, which gives me 49 to choose from.

Yes. Islamists and democrats working together for diversity and multiculturalism.
All that crap about bridging divides, bipartisanism, reaching across the aisle, inclusiveness and tolerance is a feel-good disguise for the pure evil that lurks beneath.
Best thing we can do is be wary, safe, armed and praying for our nation’s survival daily.

Sen. Evan Bayh joined Andre Carson for an education rally in front of a couple-dozen supporters at the Westin in Indianapolis.
The event put the focus on reform in the classroom, fixing what Carson called shortcomings in the "No Child Left Behind" act.
It was also an opportunity for Bayh to embrace Carson in hopes of making sure the district remains in the hands of Democrats in the March 11 election.
