BERKELEY, Calif. (KCBS) -- Protesters have returned to the Berkeley Marines recruiting center just a day after a showdown between anti-war and pro-military demonstrators before the Berkeley City Council. This time, several dozen members of the peace group CodePink urged people to make love, not war.
The Berkeley demonstration is one of 20 “Kiss Don’t Enlist” protests across the country.
”Polls show that the majority of Americans are opposed to the war, and this has given people a chance to really come out and show that. And it’s kind of fun to make out, instead of making war, right?” said one CodePink demonstrator.
This comes one day after the Berkeley City Council decided against sending a letter to the Marine Corp., calling their recruiters “unwelcome intruders.” Demonstrators say the council stood strong by supporting the troops, but not the war.
Critics of CodePink say the group has insulted the Marines serving in Iraq, and their families.

Is this for people who missed the hippie days of the sixties and seventies?

Who is doing the kissing? Are Code Pinko members offering to kiss people? That would compel people to contemplate taking their own lives.

Any 18 yo with working eyes would avoid “making out” with any of the hagzillas in CP at all costs.
Frankly, getting on the wrong end of IED sounds a lot more appealing the busting slobs with a patchoulli doused psychodyke that climbed to the top of any ugly tree, fell, and was mangled by every effin branch on the way down.

That may be a way to recruit people for the Border Patrol. Give people the choice of kissing a Code Pinko member or joining the USBP. There would be an officer on every 1/8 mile of our borders.
A better question is in asking what the appeasers are "kissing". Their bloodied knees should give a clue.

Seriously, though, I watched the city council meeting the other night. I SAW those people. Kiss ‘em? No THANKS.
How come only butt-ugly old people are protesters? Most of them look like your stereotypical homeless folks.
