Superdelegates get campaign cash

Many of the superdelegates who could well decide the Democratic presidential nominee have already been plied with campaign contributions by Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, a new study shows.

"While it would be unseemly for the candidates to hand out thousands of dollars to primary voters, or to the delegates pledged to represent the will of those voters, elected officials serving as superdelegates have received about $890,000 from Obama and Clinton in the form of campaign contributions over the last three years," the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics reported today.

Paging Sen. McCain. Paging Sen. Feingold. Pick up the red courtesy phone. When you trashed the constitution you forgot about a loophole.

I don’t think they envisaged parties. Washington was definitely against the idea.

What you aren’t being told is that there are no limits to who (including foreigners) can give, nor any limits on how large the bribes can be to each super-delegate.

This article is just citing CRP, which is getting its meager info from what the Democratic Party campaigns are reporting...but Joe Sixpack and George Soros and the Chinese Communist Party aren’t required to disclose their own gifts to super-delegates...

You aren’t limited in how much you can give to Democratic Party super-delegates...they’re exempt from all campaign finance restrictions, after all.

Imagine being the final super delegate that Hillary needs to go over the top. Why, if you held out long enough you might get...shot in the head with a civil war era family heirloom that nobody knew about.

How is bribing superdelegates legal under the McCain Feingold act?

Amazing!

Our famed “conservative” Republican nominee sold our free speech down the toilet to protect incumbents and to get the dirty money out of politics.

And now this.

Just damn.

Obama has more smarts than we realized. He has given much more than Hillary. He maybe saw this superdelegate fight coming sooner than Hillary did.
