This Saturday at Carroll Community College, Maryland, Code Pink will be receiving the Vagina Warriors Award from Women In Black (WIB). (I am serious).
We will gather from 6PM til around 9PM at the Carroll Community College Ampitheatre 1601 Washington Rd Westminster, MD 21157
We believe that WIB has scammed the Rape Crisis Centers of Maryland into thinking that this is a bon fida community service event. There is a play to be performed. Sometime before, during intermission or afterward, WIB is to give Code Pink the award. WIB will use the large crowd who came to see the play and pay their $20 entrance fee as propaganda. WIB will show "community support" for Code Pink and WIB.
WIB has said that ALL proceeds will be donated to a "local rape crisis center". I am suspect as to how much the Rape Crisis Center will receive since only WIB will know how many people actually have paid for this event.
We have no idea at this time what the theme of the play will be. But we will be there to educate the unsuspecting attendees about the true Code Pink and WIB.
Outside the ampitheatre we will meet-n-greet the attendees. Since the Rape Crisis Centers of Maryland has some type of sponsorship of this, keep your signs G-rated. We will not be interrupting the play.
Handouts about CP and WIB will be helpful. Signs will also be helpful though the D.C. Chapter of FReeRepublic.com will have a bunch. We will also have some small parade size flags.
If you want to make it a day in historic Westminster, join Eagles/FReepers PatrioticMarineMom and RockerMom2MyHero from 1PM til 3PM for their Support the Troops Rally. Then visit the many historic places in Westminster til 6PM, where we'll meet at the community college.
The Westminster Gathering/FReep is located on the east side of E. Main Street opposite the library at 50 East Main Street. There is public parking on Winters Street. Follow the signs.
Westminster is a new Gathering/FReep and their signs and flags are limited, so bring your own. We are not sure if CP or WIB will be there since this is their 'off' Saturday. But the true patriots are out every Saturday.
