There are days my wife wishes she could just push a button and send all her students to detention without the extra paperwork. :->

I love how there’s one button that sends it to every student’s home. More public education BS.

LOL. Classic.
If I were a student there, I’d be trying to figure out how to make it happen at will. With my own message. Oh... the fun to be had...

Oh man, this kid, Jimmy, could murder someone in the next Month and his Mother would laugh it off as another email error. A “get out of jail free card” lol

And we’re to trust these people with sensitive information on our children in their computers?

Weekend detention is a bunch of crap in my book.
There’s no way the school should have that kind of control over a kid’s life. Once school is out, that’s the end of where they can tell my kid where he has to spend his time. Weekends are his, not the school’s.

Ugh there was a sped teacher in my high school who kept 504 and IEPs all “confidential” information scattered all over her desk and the classroom. Not to mention she used the same computer to do that type of work that her students used.
The height of incompetence and she was never punished for it.

Oops, my bad, I forgot this is the Imperial Federal School System that screwed up. Never mind.

All the kids probably have done something detention-worthy anyway... they just haven’t gotten caught yet.

One parent didn't believe her son's protests that he had done nothing wrong and took him to school Saturday morning anyway. When they learned of the glitch, Amy Stewart took her son Jimmy to breakfast to make up for it.What a good Mom!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
This sounds a lot like “house arrest”.
Have you noticed how much school lingo resembles prison language:
Lock down.
Metal detectors
Zero tolerance
drug free zones
in-school detention
after school detention
dentention center
anti-bullying policies
gun-free zones
expulsion procedures
And,,,now,,,this is a new one: Weekend detention
