LOS ANGELES (AP) - Television writer and producer Ron Leavitt has died. He was 60.
His publicist says Leavitt died of lung cancer at his home in Los Angeles.
Leavitt co-created "Married With Children," a sitcom about the luckless shoe salesman Al Bundy and his dysfunctional family.
"Married With Children" ran on the Fox network from 1987 to 1997 and became the network's second-longest running sitcom behind "The Simpsons."
A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Leavitt broke into television in the 1970s writing episodes of "Busting Loose," "Happy Days," "Laverne & Shirley" and "The Bad News Bears."
Leavitt is survived by two children, Matt and Samantha, and his fiance, model and actress Jessica Hahn.

He co-created the show with Michael G Moye, served as executive producer and helped write nearly 150 episodes.

I thought it was one of the absolute worst programs EVER on television, but my condolences to his friends and family anyway.

"Jessica Hahn" Of Jim and Tammy-Faye Bakker fame. She the temptress who had Jimmy under her (ahem) charms.
See Google Images, if you dare.

Jessica Hahn? Now THERE’s a blast from the past.
Last I heard of her she was Howard Stern’s foil. Heck, that was at least 15 years ago.

LOL That 2nd link I posted above proves beyond all doubt you can get anyone to appear in your video if you have enough cocaine to spread around.

Hardly. It was just dumbass. I always found it utterly exasperating that the guy had a wife who still kept herself looking like a hotass tramp out of a rock video and he wouldn’t have anything to do with her. Most men should be so lucky after years of marriage. When Fox first started their network, I thought they had the best series stuff of anyone. They deteriorated. King of the Hill’s ok, though.
