In the months ahead, with an economy to strengthen and a war to fight, we'll stay focused on the business of the people. We'll come to a strong finish -- and I'm confident that our jobs will be left in good hands. Quote of the Day:
President Bush: You know, life sometimes is unfair and you don't get to play the hand that you wanted to play. But the question is when you get dealt the hand, how do you play it? And I've come away with this impression of the folks in Macon County: one, you're down to earth, good, hard-working people; they have a respect for the Almighty; and this community is going to be as strong as ever. That's what I think. I bet you feel the same way.Mr. Phil Spears (resident of Lafeyette, TN): Yes, sir. If it wasn't for my friends, I don't know what I'd do.
President Bush: And you're going to find you got some new friends showing up, too -- a lot of people you've never heard of, they don't know who you are, total strangers. But when they know there's a neighbor in need they'll come and help you.

HOLA!
Hi!
Evening, LUV :)
YAY... !! ;)

President George W. Bush greets Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) at the Conservative Political Action Conference convention in Washington, February 8, 2008.

President Bush: You know, Mr. Leader [Sen. Mitch McConnell], I used to think that leading a group of strong-willed senators was one of the toughest jobs in the country. I may have found an even tougher one: father of the bride. (Laughter and applause.) You know, I told Laura I was going to say that and she said, well, you might add another one: son-in-law to the President. (Laughter.)

Hillary Clinton: "Geez, they knew when they moved here that this was a possibility"
and yes, that's how I believe the clintons think about the real people in the USA.
Good evening!
Thanks for the ping
Good evening! Good to be here! I was sad to see the pictures of the devastation in the South.
Thanks for Sanity Island tonight. There are far too few sane places to be lately!

President Bush: I appreciate the fact you invited Vice President Cheney here. (Applause.) He is the best Vice President in history. (Applause.) Mother may have a different opinion. (Laughter.) But don't tell her I said this, but my opinion is the one that counts. (Laughter and applause.)Since I spoke with you last, some things have changed. It seems like my hair is little grayer. (Laughter.) And my jokes are a little older. And some say my speeches are a little windier. Some things haven't changed: the principles I believe in and my deep, abiding faith in the American people. (Applause.)
You sure “sound” happy! :D
Congratulations. You did it again :)
You sure “sound” happy! :D
Winner, huh? Wow, thanks. And I’m not even in the ping list. What a lucky break.
You know difference between this President say President Hillary

*hic*

President Bush: They [The Left] tend to think Washington has the answers to our problems. They tend to believe our country only succeeds under the expansive federal government. They tend to be suspicious of America's exercise of global leadership -- unless, of course, we get a permission slip from international organizations. (Laughter.)Over the past seven years, we have engaged this opposition with a clear and consistent philosophy. We didn't take polls to decide what to say. We didn't seek the advice of editorial pages to decide what to think.
And we darn sure didn't seek the approval of groups like Code Pink and MoveOn.org before deciding what to do. (Applause.)
Thank you. I just had a nap after driving 8 hours to get home. I do feel a bit better.
2nd is not bad for someone with slow reflexes! :D
“Audience Member: We love you, George! “ That would be me if he were speaking somewhere that I could be! LOL!
I hope you liked the previous toaster I did for you I posted it earlier today after the all clear will post them again for those who missed them on yesterday’s thread.

President Bush: Last month I issued an executive order that directs federal agencies to ignore any future earmark that is not actually voted on by the United States Congress. (Applause.) This executive order will extend beyond my presidency -- (applause) -- it will stay in effect unless revoked by a future President. What that means is any President who wants to return to the old ways of unaccountable and wasteful spending will get to do so publicly. (Applause.) And if that happens, that President will have some explaining to do. (Applause.)

Sorry, Jonny! I jumped the gun. =\
Sure wish I had heard that speech! I was on the road.
Me 2! That’s a long drive .. where’d ya go?
I LOVE THAT ! He outsmarts
them every time. Keep that
fire burning strong, W!
I have been in Oklahoma to help my son with his darlin’ daughter while mommy was ill.
Taking care of a 1-year old means VERY early mornings! LOL! I am NOT used to that! :D

President Bush: We applied our philosophy to questions affecting the moral fabric of our nation. We believe that all human life is precious and deserves to be protected. (Applause.)In 2001, I had a grave decision to make on the question of embryonic stem cell research. I believed we could empower scientists and researchers to discover cures for terrible diseases -- without crossing a moral line. (Applause.) So I authorized research on existing stem cell lines, and stood against any effort to use federal tax dollars to support the destruction of human life. (Applause.) ...
Then last November, scientists announced a landmark achievement. They found a way to reprogram adult skin cells to act like embryonic stem cells. (Applause.) This discovery has the potential to end the divisive debate over stem cell research. It will allow us to expand the frontiers of medicine, while maintaining a culture of life. (Applause.) In the coming year, we will increase funds for this type of ethical research. And I will continue to push for a ban on the buying, selling, patenting or cloning of human life. (Applause.)
You were with Piper .. what joy.
Hope Mom is OK. Thank God for
Grammas. I wonder if I’ll ever
know the feeling ... LOL.
I saw my toaster, Snugs. It’s be-yoo-ti-ful. And the red toaster is just perfect for the picture. Thank you.
You will!
It was gratifying and kind of nice to get to know Piper
a little better. She’s a cutie! Mommy is going to be fine!

This was almost the Quote of the Day:
President Bush: Ronald Reagan was called a "warmonger," "an amiable dunce," a movie actor detached from reality. Yet within a few years after President Reagan left office, the Berlin Wall came down, the Evil Empire collapsed, the Cold War was won. And over the years a strange thing has happened. A lot of people who spent the 1980's criticizing President Reagan now tell us they were with him all along. (Laughter.)You were with him all along. (Applause.) And over the past seven years, you've been with me. I appreciate your support. (Applause.)
Audience: Four more years! Four more years!
JONNY!
***What that means is any President who wants to return to the old ways of unaccountable and wasteful spending will get to do so publicly. (Applause.) And if that happens, that President will have some explaining to do. (Applause.)***
Fantastic! What a man we elected.
Hope your DIL is better now - hope nothing serious
She is going to be just fine, thank you for asking, Snugs!

President George W. Bush acknowledges the audience after delivering remarks Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, to the 35th Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, D.C. With him is Dave Keene, Chairman of the American Conservative Union

President Bush waves to the audience after delivering remarks to CPAC.
President Bush: I'll always -- always -- be grateful [to each of you] for supporting our cause, for giving me a chance, and for loving our country. I thank you for that. (Applause.)I look forward to working with you this year. My energy is up, my spirit is high, and I will finish strong. (Applause.) And in the meantime, we will elect a new President. We've had good debates and soon we'll have a nominee who will carry a conservative banner into this election and beyond.
Listen, the stakes in November are high. This is an important election. Prosperity and peace are in the balance. So with confidence in our vision and faith in our values, let us go forward, fight for victory, and keep the White House in 2008.
God bless you, and God bless America. (Applause.)

Got a new tagline!
Experiencing technical difficulties, lol: Yahoo has slowed to a crawl—it’s not letting me see the large photos, just the thumbnails ... stand by.
Thank you for today’s Dose jonny.. He goes from a high of the CPAC supporters to the low of seeing Americans bathed yet again in tragedy.
He carries our pain.
Hope all Doser’s have a great weekend.
Is Yahoo working for you?
Yep .. you on IE or Firefox? I’m
