I observed the same. It kills me to see the conservative base treated this way. I am interested to see what the actual demographics of the voters were. In my precint where the average age was 33-37 with alot of parents with kids still at home, Romney won with over 4-1 stats. I am in CO where we’re not known for our strong Conservative politics. I am guessing that there were record numbers of baby boomers and geriatrics to help boost the McCain/Huckabee presidency to where it is now.

The age demographics I’ve seen (in polls) show the young (18-30) and the old (over 65) are the voters who are for McCain.

If McCain wins the nomination and goes on to win the election (by some perverse act of nature) it will be the end of the conservative movement.

The neo-cons and RINOs know McCain cannot win without conservatives but they expect conservatives to vote for McCain even though he made it clear he resents us.
They feel they don’t have to pay atterntion to conservatives because we have no where else to go.

Like McCain’s mother said - “They will just have to hold their nose and vote for him”.

Conservatives are the plantation negroes of the republican party.
The only time they want to hear from us is when it is time to vote for them.

I just could not bring myself to vote for McCain.
