Don’t forget Romney’s own little illegal problem while governor:

The difference is, we know McCain hates conservatives.

Every cause, every political struggle, reserves a special 'punishment' for those once loyal ... but who later betrayed their brothers.

Napoleon was banished to a deserted island (forget the name) for the rest of his life for betrayal.

Benedict Arnold was likewise banished to England for the rest of his life for betraying the Revolutionary cause.

Dante, in the Count of MOnte Cristo......

Numerous events in the Bible ....

The list goes on and on....

I am not claiming McCain's betrayal was a physical betrayal like a spy during the time of war, and thus subject to Capital or Corporal Punishment.

But betray he did, none-the-less, and thus he should be shunned and rejected by Party faithful.... NOT elevated to the top man.

McCain's actions of the past 10 years were selfish in nature, and designed to disgrace and embarrass the Christian right, the conservative wing of the GOP, and specifically President Bush Administration as it struggled to prosecute a war against jihad terrorists.

What McCain did to the GOP was beyond disgraceful.

It deserves a more severe punishment than simply saying....... "well Johnny boy, don't do it again."

I agree.

Plus, McCain's nomination will take experience - neither has been governor or mayor - and immigration off the table as issue. Both of them voted against the Cornyn amendment.

Also, McCain is a short guy, thus she will not appear as short and dumpy as she would next to Romney - unfortunately some people do vote on physical appearance. She will look attractive compared to weird looking McCain whose face will remind people of a steroid user's. He has lots of baggage and has recently been a more outrageous liar than she. It will also make Bill's past irrelevant since McCain will be bringing Cindy - not somebody many would approve as First Lady. In contrast, Hillary will be the faithful wife while he is the adulterer.

True. How long has it been since the elected President was something other than a prior VP, incumbent or former Governor? Being in the Senate does not usually demonstrate leadership. With McCain, working in lockstep with Dems counts AGAINST him.

In the past, it’s been said that the candidate with the most hair wins. Too bad for Romney if that doesn’t play out this year.

And McCain is OLD. Not a problem for most people, but let’s not kid ourselves as to how physically demanding it is to be POTUS.

Bush is in great shape, and if you look at before and after photos of him (or any of the past two-term presidents like Reagan or Clinton) you can see a dramatic shift.

Is McCain prepared to work 18-20 hours per day?

McCain's campaign website is saying that he is speaking at 2:30pm.

I don't know why his website would be telling folks that he is speaking a half-hour earlier than CPAC is saying.

It wouldn't be so that his Liberal RINO supporters will be there early enough to pack the room, would it?

Good points. No, McCain is in no condition to work long hours. There is not one single reason to vote for McCain and many reasons to vote against him. Is electing McCain payback to the Democrats for the gift of Kerry during last election or merely to help Hillary win?
