TINLEY PARK, Ill. (CBS) Five people were shot Saturday morning at a Lane Bryant clothing store in a strip mall in Tinley Park Saturday morning.

Police were sent to the mall at 7264 W. 191st St. around 11 a.m., according to a Tinley Park police dispatcher.

WBBM Newsradio 780 reported that Tinley Park's mayor said five people were shot inside the Lane Bryant store.

The conditions of the victims were not immediately available. Will County coroner's office investigators were sent to the scene, but a representative could not say whether anyone was dead.

Unconfirmed reports said the shooting included at least one fatality.

Several ambulances were sent to the shopping center. Witnesses reported seeing several stretchers being wheeled into the Lane Bryant clothing store in the shopping center. The stretchers later were wheeled out — carrying no patients.

A witness told CBS 2 that several suburban police vehicles were blocking entrances by a parking lot to a Super Target in the mall. Police from Oak Forest, Matteson, Mokena and other south suburban communities responded, and some were searching cars in the parking lot, the witness said.

A representative of the Target store in the mall was not able to comment.

Guns don’t kill people. Retards with guns do.

CBS new is now reported four dead and unofficially that all five were found bound and gagged and shot in the back of the head.

Tinley Park is about 45 min from Chicago...

Everyone of the families of these people that were killed needs to sue if they were not allowed to carry a weapon.

latest description coming in from a 911 call at 10:44am: medium skinned black male black coat black hat and jeans.

Still no motive. Although I assume it's the usual 'before business opens robbery', buy wonder why this guy felt the need to kill everyone.

sigh...prob a former employee, bet they'll catch him by the end of today.

Courts have ruled that the police have no obligation to protect any individual from harm. If that’s the case, you probably couldn’t sue the state for not letting you protect yourself.

Not that I don’t agree with your point; I think it’s terrible that these people weren’t allowed to defend themselves. I just don’t think anyone could successfully sue Illinois for it.

Maybe not sucessfully, but they could take it all the way to the supreme court that their constitutional rights were violated, resulting in their being killed.

Courts have ruled that the police have no obligation to protect any individual from harm.

A guy I know once heard shots fired in his neighborhood, called the police, and had his gun ready. FORTY FIVE minutes later the cops show up. He had his gun with him when he went to the driveway to greet the officers and the officer yelled at him about the gun. The guy said. "You take forty five minutes to get here and you expect me not to have a gun?"

Jesse Jackson should have his son begin a Gun Buy back program Immediately! Or you could just get Obama to issue a pre-executive order to ban all guns in the area of Chicago

No concealed carry is allowed anywhere in Illinois. The mall probably didn't have a policy.
