Conservatives Fighting Romney

In response to Jason’s post of an anti-McCain YouTube video, I offer this video of Romney, made by the same exact organization that produced the McCain video. Also, I take issue with the statement “This Youtube is making it’s way into activists inboxes all across the nation as we speak.” The anti-McCain video has… brace yourself… 139 views, while this anti-Romney video has 4,796 views. Enjoy.

This video succinctly examines Romney's many and recent apostasies on abortion, including the requirement that Catholic hospitals dispense the abortifacient morning after pill, and same sex marriage. It also gives a window into the kinds of activist judges he would appoint. Any one of these should be enough to exclude him from consideration by any serious social conservative. All of them together make him a toxic choice for social cons.

That damn Mormon.. he dosn’t believe in Christ, blah blah blah. Oh wait, I’m a Mormon! Nevermind.. I got caught up in the anti-Romney bashing, even though I’m for Mccain!

At least many of the anti-McCain guys are no longer bashing Mormonism.. that’s the good thing about this McCain thing.

McCain is my guy.. I can’t wait to get this over on Tuesday. He will trounce HIllary. Mitt is just too weak a candidate.

But the alternative to him is “join with Mexico” McCain. As for Huckabee, I don’t trust any politican from Arkansas.

McCain was the only one that really stood up for the surge. So many of these Repubs in Congress were MIA for several months. Only McCain was there.

That’s the #1, #2 and #3 issue. Immigration is way down the list in today’s world.

On the issue of right to life, McCain is solid. Romney is not. That nails it for me.

Romney did not govern as a conservative. That is a Myth. He is Myth Romney. I don’t love John McCain but he is more conservative than Mitt in almost every area when one sits them side by side and compares their records.

My understanding is that the “hospital-pill problem” was never an actual problem. Hospitals were all allowed to opt-out, but that did take someone from the hospital to ask for it.

It’s disgraceful that we have much of the “conservative” media trying to pass this RINO off as the conservative savior and that multiple Mitt Wits are following along like mind-numbed robots.

How do you feel about McCain's boy, David Souter, on the High Court? How did that fit in with your pro-life stance?

At this critical junture in time, do you really want John McCain nominating the replacements for Stevens and Ginsburg?

Personally, I could care less as to Romney's stance on abortion twelve years ago or even two years ago. He obviously has had a life-changing moment regarding it. I am willing to forgive his past. He knows he was wrong and has admitted it.

Compare that to McCain. He shows nothing but contempt for those with opposing viewpoints. He is still in denial about his betrayal of conservative ideals. He is constantly moving away from the conservative ideals of a quarter century ago that helped rebuild the GOP. Mitt Romney on the other hand, is moving to embrace them.

So it comes down to this. Will you vote for someone who now embraces the conservative ideals of Reagan? Or will you support the candidate who has since defiled them?

Let me return the favor.

You and the anti-McCain, anti-Mormon/Pro-Romney/ambivalent Pro-Life position conservatives..

“John McCain.. .. is more conservative than Mitt in almost every area when one sits them side by side and compares their records.”

Fred was my first choice, but it is true. McCain is much more conservative than Romney on almost everything, but especially on the right to life and the War.

John McCain’s Liberty University address

Saturday, 13 May 2006
The speech of John McCain at Liberty University.

When I was a young man, I was quite infatuated with self-expression, and rightly so because, if memory conveniently serves, I was so much more eloquent, well-informed, and wiser than anyone else I knew. It seemed I understood the world and the purpose of life so much more profoundly than most people. I believed that to be especially true with many of my elders, people whose only accomplishment, as far as I could tell, was that they had been born before me, and, consequently, had suffered some number of years deprived of my insights. I had opinions on everything, and I was always right. I loved to argue, and I could become understandably belligerent with people who lacked the grace and intelligence to agree with me. With my superior qualities so obvious, it was an intolerable hardship to have to suffer fools gladly. So I rarely did. All their resistance to my brilliantly conceived and cogently argued views proved was that they possessed an inferior intellect and a weaker character than God had blessed me with, and I felt it was my clear duty to so inform them. It’s a pity that there wasn’t a blogosphere then. I would have felt very much at home in the medium.

They’re all on the NAU bandwagon. Some are more honest about it, but they’re all on the same team.

A vote for Mitt McClintobama is a vote for the end of the Republic.

I love it! Myth Romney!

I’ve said all along that Romney is fundamentally flawed, much like he suggests Washington is fundamentally broken. His record isn’t strong and the only reason he’s still relevant at all is due to his money allowing to him remain as the stop-McCain candidate.
